Spectacular staff!
I can’t recommend the Melia Granada enough! What makes the hotel so spectacular is the staff! Andrea was the perfect host. She greeted us daily with a warm smile and was happy help with anything from recommending restaurants and arranging for tickets to a flamenco show to suggesting activities in beautiful Granada. Ramon was wonderful at the front desk. He was happy to answer any question and greet us as we came in each day. We loved the hotel and are so glad that we opted for the package that included dinner and happy hours on the 6th floor complete with stunning views of the Alhambra and the Sierra Nevada mountain range. We would love to return to Granada and stay at the Melia Grandad again!

Good hotel with great staff, but room design puzzling
If you're a fan of the whole bathroom in the bedroom thing then you'll love this hotel. We'd booked a junior suite but, as so often, what we got didn't match images advertised. The sofa was in a tiny room of its own and the main room was an open plan bathroom/bedroom. This wasn’t what we were expecting and I like the two to be separate. You could draw a thin curtain between them but that was just weird and made the bed area tiny. In addition we discovered, on going to bed, that the AC wasn't working - apparently, they only have it on during the summer. Hotel rooms are invariably warm and stuffy with windows that don’t open and we usually need a/c even in mid-winter northern Europe hotels, so it was quite surprising that a hotel in southern Europe was so restrictive. Opening the window the few inches available only let the street noise in. Needless to say, didn't sleep well. With both the issues of the bathroom in the bedroom thing and the lack of a/c, the staff were absolutely lovely. The next day we were moved to a better (though still weirdly laid out) room with a huge terrace and given a fan to help cool the room at night. Slept better and was therefore much happier. Although, when looking for somewhere to plug the hairdryer in near to a mirror, the only place in all the rooms/bathrooms of the suite was the tiny toilet. Bit of a design oversight. Staying in The Level entitles you to use the lovely upstairs lounge/bar and the outside terrace overlooking the Alhambra. Complimentary snacks and drinks are available all day, with the wine and tapas coming out 5-7pm. Nb as the terrace is quite small it does fill up quite quickly, and you’re not allowed to take drinks back to your room. We did try! Breakfast was decent with plenty of choice and eggs cooked to order. I can’t vouch for the main restaurant downstairs as we didn’t eat there. It’s probably great if you’re a carnivore but when we were there the only veggie option (at the end of a wealth of meat dishes) was – I kid you not - a roasted lettuce leaf. So: staff are lovely, breakfast is good, the hotel is clean and well-located and The Level privileges are a nice touch. If you can sleep with the drone of a fan or without a/c and you like your bathroom in the bedroom then you could do far worse than stay at Meliá Granada.

Short stay in Granada.
We booked a premium level room & it was amazing. We were checked in via the private check-in on floor 6. Alasandra looked after us and had a street view room allocated for us if we wanted to watch the Easter processions during our stay? What a bonus! I would thoroughly recommend booking a room with The Level if you have a chance. Great selection of food & drinks while overlooking the Alhambra & Sierra Nevada. BUT what made our stay super special was the treatment & service ( always with a smile ) from the staff, Alasandra & Amore. Thank you.

Centrally Located Hotel with Great Staff
This was a great central hotel for us to stay at during our visit to Granada. The rooms are small, but clean and the hotel staff is very wonderful. I'd like to especially call out Borja who was wonderful during check in and was also taking on the role of "concierge" and helping us with our planning and taxis. I recommend this hotel especially after the horrible experience at the Palacio Solecio in Malaga which was 2X the cost and horrible customer service
