The hotel has so much potential, amazing grounds and some really lovely staff. However being in the travel business for over 40 years, this is like a throw back from the 80s! I would say it has been a horrible experience from check in to now. Please do not visit here. Food is terrible, sea water worst I have experienced. Diesel in water. Time share and check in total scammers and hotel are part of this so please be aware. We upgraded to level ha ha what a joke. No extra concierge etc. The room is clean and has been best part of holiday. I am looking forward to going home so I can get a nice meal. I will never recommend Melia or any associate hotels again. We had booked royalton and changed to come here! Save ur money and go somewhere nice, like the secrets la romana. Also the water park had human waste at edge of water as per photo.

Hokkaido restaurant chef Jasper Bautista has to be one of the best chefs ive had in a japanese restaurant. Forget michelin stars make sure this guy is around when you book, food is out of this world
