    Could be better, could be worse.

    My family and I were the guests in Barcelona’s “Meliá-Sarrià” from August 24th-27th, 2025. The administration promised us two separate queen beds, but there were only two little beds as one big bed. I slept on the little sofa, which did not work as the bed. The buffet was small, we even ordered the food from some local café, and met the delivery boy outside of the hotel. Our room had the bathrobes, but not slippers; in the restroom, there was also the bidet. It was my first time in Europe.

    Great hotel

    We loved the hotel. It was very clean and all staff were really friendly and helpful. We would like to say thank you to Guille from the restaurant for making our first night at the hotel special. He did a list of all the places to visit, went the extra mile to make sure our drinks were perfect and made us feel very welcome as did all the other members of staff. We would definitely be back to visit. Thank you again

    Saved our wedding day!

    We arrived in Barcelona in the morning with our small wedding scheduled for 4 pm. Our room wasn’t ready because it was 10 am when we arrived, but David upgraded us to a top floor room and we had plenty of time to get ready. The room was comfortable, clean, and well appointed. The snacks on the suite floor were wonderful. And the breakfast was also excellent. Great stay in Barcelona and great staff! Thank you David!

    Budget Melia

    Not the standard expected of a Melia hotel - it has tarnished my usual good expectations of the brand. Check in was slow, plus I think I was scammed into paying 50 euros to get a room that was ready!! No glass of Cava at check-in - couldn't sit down while the receptionist had to complete my details on the computer despite being a Melia Rewards Member. Reception loby was like a railway station with groups just hanging around. Lifts were very efficient. Room disappointing - poor sound insulation could have had a conversation with the people next door through the wall. Washbasin plug didn't work to wasted a lot of water. The most complicated shower controls I have ever seen. a depressing room on the 15th floor with a slight view of the sea on the far distant.(Not there as a tourist just for one night before catching a cruise so happy with the location) Website seemd to indicate there were two restaurants - incorrect it's all just one. Service was pretty good as was the food and staff attentive and helpful. Shame that breakfast spoilt it - not the usual Melia Breakfast buffet we had come to expect over the years - make your own tea or coffee from a machine. Then pick and choose from the basic buffet that was lacking in true Spanish layout / appearance. Tried to pay the bill on line from my room and thought it had gone through - but luckily I checked when handing the key back and payment hadn't gone through so had to go through all that again after they checked. Luckily I have no plans to return to Barcelona in the near future

    Melia Sarria

    Amazing hotel within 10 minute walking distance from bus turistic. Great facilities and the surrounding area has a great bakery, shopping area.
