Nice resort but some issues. Recommend Desert Springs Resort over Shadow Ridge
Repeat visitors and Gold Marriott members. Enclaves apartment decor feeling a bit tired and grubby now so unsure when they are due for remodel as some of the Villages part currently being done now. We were on the third floor (is an elevator). Could never get a park outside our apartment the entire week which never happens at sister properties we stay in at Desert Springs 1 and 2. More activities offered here at this resort though and complimentary cocktail afternoons which are not at Desert Springs. Pools were lovely but way too crowded and yelling kids as school holidays. Please consider an adult only pool, would be so easy to do, I don’t like the design of the Enclaves apartments. We had a two bedroom and both bedrooms face on to the walkways, so poor natural light and privacy. The headboard of each master room backs on to the AC unit of your neighbour which means it is noisy. Poor design. No one in the neighbouring apartment but AC still running continuously. Not very ‘Green’. Our neighbour was urinating over his balcony one night and saw I had seen him. I reported but never heard any more. The main gates to the resort are permanently open which I did not appreciate as anyone can come and go, very easy to use the pools etc. Why have security gates if they’re not used? I had mail which was sent prior to my arrival. I had to ask several times and follow up before staff found it despite being correctly addressed. Would loved to have tried the free yoga classes offered but was always at 7.00 a.m. Given guests are holidaying why not offer later? Annoying too that there are no pool towels at the pool, you have to take them to and from your room. Why? Inconsistent with your sister properties. Also at 3pm everyone is made to exit the pool due to heat for ten minutes. Why? Again, does not happen at sister properties. We are all adults , let us decide when to exit the pool. Would choose Desert Springs Villas in future over Shadow Ridge.
Awesome activities center for the kids
Decided to book a last minute trip for my family before the kids start school. We chose the enclaves at Desert Ridge and I’m glad we made this choice. Our stay was amazing. The best part for the kids was The Mirage center where they offer activities for the kids. Dennis and his team were amazing and very helpful, this was the kids favorite part of the trip. Definitely will be back and book a longer stay next time.
Kids club, Enclaves pool bar the best an all palm deserts thanks for making my family feel like home Check in all great welcoming Activities are always Great for the whole family The kids love activities center Will be back next month to enjoy this resort
Best Family Vacation/Graduation Party Stay in Palm Desert Ca
Absolutely love the Shadow Ridge and love that its tucked away on its own area away from the DT City of PS. I fly in twice a year to just stay here with my husband and have family outings here. We flew in for my Daughters Graduation party that never happened due to Covid. Every time I have stayed here, I have been lucky to get the building number that I have asked for, and the rooms are big, spacious and crystal clean. We get the suite with kitchen to hold 6 guests or more. My family loves the Pools and all the activities, tennis, biking, crafts and painting class and Aqua Aerobics. You have to bring your room Yellow Bath towels to the pool as they do not have towels. They have bar and grills at both pool locations, Chuckwalla and Snake. It nice to grab a cool mixed drink and be in the pool with it. They don't allow float devices in any kid's pools, so no floats, but you can have swim floaties on your arms. The adult only pool allows floats. I have a torn ACL as being in the pool and walking close by has helped. The Starbucks at the Clubhouse is perfect to get that early drink before Tee off for Golf.
Beautiful vacation property, lots of amenities and great location
We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful vacation property, which is conveniently located in a great area of Palm Desert. We stayed in the 'guest' suite which worked well for just the 2 of us, and we appreciated the kitchenette for snacks and drinks. The Enclave section is smaller and less congested than the main area which seemed to be busy with family activities. The fitness center was well equipped and we enjoyed the Enclave pool with plenty of chairs, covered seating an a large screen TV. We mostly dined off property since they're much offered for dining options other than the pool bars.
