Renovations Needed
The staff is wonderful and very friendly. The hotel is also located in a great location but needs lots of improvements. As a Bonvoy member I have come to expect much more from a Marriott property. The furniture in the apartment was spotted and run down, the draws in the closet were off track so we couldn't put cloths in the drawers, and the dresser area hadn't been dusted in a while. There also was no safe in the apartment to lock up vulnerable items and documents. We stayed 7 night, and housekeeping was on our floor everyday but never changed our sheets. We had to ask several times for clean towels and washcloths. If they renovate the hotel it will be an ideal place to stay.

Enjoyed out stay!
After coming off a cruise ship, the room seemed enormous wish a nice living area/ desk/work area, beds and a separate kitchen area. It was absolutely perfect for our first time visiting Panama city - good location - easy walking distance to supermarket/ subway or to the waterfront. Great front desk staff too - very friendly and helpful. The pool/gym/suana were really nice, but it does get hot without shade at the pool in the afternoon. Take a room with complimentary breakfast as it's well worth it and has a great selection of both cold and hot foods.

Location, location!
It was a pleasure to stay at this hotel with the warm friendly staff, especially Emma who went above and beyond to help us check in. While some of the staff may speak limited English, they make the extra effort to help communicate and understand your needs. This location was perfect for getting around the city using Uber and the fares were not that expensive (most trips were around USD 2-4). There is a grocery within walking distance, Riba Smith which has a lot of familiar brands and local items as well. The rooms were cleaned every day. The room was equipped with towels, hair dryer, toilet paper, cutlery including pots and bowls, dish washing liquid, a sponge and roll of napkins. We went to the grocery to get some food items and the kitchen was equipped with a microwave, electric stove (no need for matches!) and fridge. While the windows do not open in the room, it is still very comfortable. The washer & dryer are at the end of the hallway and they provide you with a bit of laundry detergent to get you through your first load of laundry. Only liquid detergent can be used in these machines and you will have to use quarters to operate the machine (at the time of our stay it was USD3.50 for washing and USD2.25 for the dryer). The front desk can help you with coins if you need (that’s where we got ours!). We stayed for two weeks. The room was on the 15th floor, it was quiet with a great view of the city. There were no disturbances or loud music, so it was ideal for having quick video conference calls if you have to work during your stay. It was a great stay and we will definitely look forward to staying there again.

Everything you need in a good hotel.
Marriott just get it when it comes to business hotels and long stays. Everything for the most part is thought of. The pool is large enough for full length swimming with a small but decent gym. Beach towels and water available, sunbeds, tables, chairs to hang out in the evening and a great view. The staff were excellent especially the breakfast team. The lunch menu and drinks all reasonably priced and good selection. The only let down for me was the breakfast. It is very carb heavy, no fresh bread selections just sliced white or brown. Omelette & Waffle station. the options though for people who don't eat eggs or most meat is extremely limited. Very repetitive aswell if staying for more than a few days.
