Great Family Vacation
First off our overall experience was great at the Marriott Cancun. We’ve been to plenty of All Inclusives and this ranks right up there. The food was plentiful and there were many options. The reviews below complaining about the food must have crazy high expectations regarding All Inclusive. Breakfast at Casa Madre was the best and had plenty of options. For Lunch the stone oven pizza, to the taco stand to even the chicken tenders for the kids were great. Was never disappointed. For dinner my fav was the Teppanyaki. As for the rest it’s pretty much standard for All Inclusives. Not great but avg. The staff and service were great. If you tipped the staff always made sure you were taken care of. It goes a long way to making your experience better. But even if you didn’t they were always a pleasure. The best part of this family resort was the kids club. Unbelievable, we didn’t realize until our arrival about the kids club and we checked it out. Our daughter always wanted to spend time in there building crafts etc. Always activities planned great for kids 4-10. They would call or text you if your child wanted to leave. Great overall experience. Rooms were great and the views even better. Service overall was 10/10. The only complaint I agree with below was the chair situation. It’s like the Hunger Games. I’ve never seen anything like it before at an all inclusive. People up at like 4am-6am reserving chairs. That definitely needs to be fixed. We had a view overlooking the ocean as well as the whole area below and I would see people up early reserving loungers. Ridiculous. Besides that great overall trip, my wife loved the cafe. Good coffee

Great family spring break destination
We had a wonderful stay at the Marriott Cancun All-Inclusive with our family (kids ages 6 and 3). Easy 5 stars and honestly, the staff alone made the trip. Everyone was incredibly attentive, especially at the pool and throughout the resort. We also had a small booking issue, and it was resolved quickly and smoothly with no hassle. A special shoutout to Enrique, Jasson, and Lorenzo at the main lobby bar. They went above and beyond every day. They were so accommodating with our kids, and when I asked my 6-year-old his favorite part of the trip, he said it was the special decorated drink Enrique made just for him.. twice.

Worst all-inclusive experience I’ve had
My 17 year old daughter and I decided to do a last minute trip to Cancun for some R and R. The good: views are pretty, rooms are decent, lazy river, dance lesson and stretching on beach were fun and the staff are very helpful and pleasant. The bad: food and drinks! I am not a picky eater, but literally nothing was fresh but the fruit. I had a shrimp dish at the ceviche bar that tasted like it was soaked in ketchup. The mussels and seafood rice at Delphina used frozen seafood and had a fishy taste. Even the nachos were made with ballpark processed cheese and processed guacamole. The drinks all had a chemical taste to them and the alcohol was terrible. - I tried to ask the bartender if they could make me a drink using fresh fruit and they couldn’t. The brick oven pizza was probably the most palatable food there, even though it is reheated. Bar none, the worst all inclusive food I have ever experienced. The pool chairs were all taken by 7 am- luckily we preferred the beach and were able to get a chair, but these also filled quickly. Very disappointed in the Marriott- would never recommend.

Title: Disappointing Experience — Not Worth the Price
We are currently on day 3 of our stay, and unfortunately, this has not been the experience we expected from a Marriott all-inclusive. Check-in took way too long, although I will say the gentleman who helped us was very kind and professional. The biggest issue has been seating. If you want a lounge chair by the pool or beach, be prepared to set an alarm for 5:00 AM—because by 6:30 AM, everything is already “reserved” with random items. The frustrating part is that many of these chairs sit unused for hours, while other guests walk around endlessly trying to find a place to sit. On our first day, I spent over an hour searching for a chair with no luck. I finally found an open cabana, but to use it, I had to scan a QR code and pay around $250. The QR code didn’t work. I asked multiple staff members for help, and after being told to wait for a manager, I stood there for 40 minutes—and no one ever came. At that point, I had spent nearly 1 hour and 40 minutes just trying to find somewhere to relax. The following days, I had no choice but to wake up early just to secure seating—which is not how anyone wants to spend their vacation. A suggestion to management: there are plenty of staff members around, but they are not being utilized effectively. Instead of having multiple DJs, why not assign staff to monitor chair usage? If chairs are left unattended for over 1–2 hours, there should be a system to free them up for other guests. Another major issue is dining. Dinner reservations must be made the day before through an app, and if you miss that window, you’re out of luck. This became a problem for us when we arrived late—we had no dining options and had to rely on room service. Unfortunately, room service was extremely disappointing. One day, our order never arrived—even after 6 hours. When we tried again, the food that did come was incomplete and cold. I would not recommend relying on room service at all. We also had an issue with our room. We paid for an upgrade but were initially placed in a room with a bathroom issue. To their credit, this was fixed quickly. Overall, we paid a significant amount for this stay and chose this resort because of the Marriott name—but it did not live up to expectations. There are many more affordable options that likely offer a better experience. I understand managing a large, all-inclusive resort is challenging, but there needs to be a better system in place to maintain organization and ensure guests actually enjoy their stay. Bottom line: If you’re looking for a relaxing, seamless vacation experience, I would recommend considering other options.

Nice Hotel. Food was TERRIBLE!!
The bellmen and checkin was first class. Room was very nice. They gave us an upgraded room. The food was terrible. The bellman (Hector) told me to try the Oreo shake. So I went to the 50s diner for lunch and ordered it. (The didn't have it and they said they never had Oreos on the menu) They "used" to call it an Oreo shake and put Brownies in it. I'd say coordinate with your staff about suggesting an item you don't even have on the menu. Embarrassing!! We went to the Polynesian restaurant first night. I'd rather have eaten at McDonalds. My girlfriend got the poke bowl. It was literally Tuna with zero flavor and nothing else. No rice no flavors. I got the shrimp and steak. Absolutely disgusting. Both had no flavor. Use salt, pepper and garlic. It helps. Probably the worst meal I've had since college. I wanted to like this hotel because it was very nice. But the food SUCKED!!
