5 Star Service at Los Sueños
I never write reviews, but your property truly deserved it. Every year my family and I visit different Marriott properties for my birthday/ parents anniversary week. I can truly say this resort is my favorite of all, the ladies and gentleman are what Marriott stand for. We had a smooth arrival and departure with valet attendant Thomas. The front desk agent trainee Jonathan and trainer (sorry forgot his name) were accommodating with an early arrival. I told them no worries if the room wasn’t ready since it not 4pm but of course they had something ready to go due to my platinum elite status. The view was beautiful and the housekeeping team was amazing and the housekeeping supervisor would follow up to ensure the it was clean to our satisfaction. The true stars of your property are Luis Enrique and Jeffrey from the food and beverage department. Luis Enrique took care of us at the pool the first 2 days and we met Jeffrey in the Hacienda. In all my years I have never met any one that wasn’t associated with the front desk that new the Marriott Benefits for elite members. Luis Enrique informed us of the elite benefits at the pool and at the gift shop if we wanted to get any souvenirs, since we get a discount for being platinum. He constantly checked on us and offered different ideas for things to do in the area. My favorite part of his interaction with us is the care he showed for my mother. I truly appreciate it since we had almost lost her a few years back and he had no idea how much we appreciate our time together. Jeffrey was our server for dinner, very attentive and great with my mother since she wasn’t feeling well that evening. On our last full day I purchased a cabana, to our delight Jeffrey ended being our server at the pool. That gentleman is truly amazing, he remembered that we went to go visit my aunt that lives here in Costa Rica the day after we saw him and how did it go. We mentioned that my family grew fond of Luis Enrique and he stated that he was working another department that day. Later in the afternoon, we were surprised with Luis Enrique stopping by to say good bye to us since we were leaving the next morning. Bismark, Andres, Jose, Emily, and Hellen from the food and beverage outlets were great as well. Honestly best service from the f&b outlets in a long time. Los Sueños property has truly become my yearly location for a getaway. My family and I sincerely thank you for a great stay and showing my parents what great service and genuine care are. As you all say Pura Vida. Gracias de La Familia Bueno. Te vemos el próximo año. Abrazos para todos.

Some good, some bad, overall the resort is just average.
We had a wonderful time here as a family, but this resort just wasn’t our favorite. The good: Everyone was kind and accommodating. we were greeted with a smile everywhere we went. There were some nice special touches especially for our twin girls. The s’mores in the evenings were really nice. The movie night in the pool was cute, they brought little bags of popcorn for the kids. They had some other nice activities for the kids on certain nights that required pre booking. It would have been nice to receive a schedule before arrival. The pool was filled with colourful floaties and balls for everyone to use and have fun with. The average: Food was very very average and overpriced. Also note that a service charge of 10% is added to every bill but nobody will advise you. We found this to be the norm almost everywhere in Costa Rica. Rooms were average. Our room had a nice ocean view but was nothing special, still felt very average. The pool is large and nice but so many people everywhere and it’s impossible to find a quiet or shady area where to relax. It doesn’t feel nice, it doesn’t feel bad, it feels very average. The not so good: The beach has dark sand and looks bad. We didn’t even make use of the canoe or paddle boards etc included in the resort fee bc it didn’t seem worth it to spend any time by the beach. Also the ecotour provided by the hotel as part of the resort fee was terrible. This is such a great opportunity to provide a memorable experience to guests, but they don’t even make an effort. We drove for an hour and saw close to nothing! Just because the cost had already been included in the resort fee is no reason to provide such a mediocre experience. I would have rated our stay 3 stars, but I have been waiting for a reply from the vacation club team for over a month now and this is unacceptable and unprofessional. Maria Isabel Alvarado was very kind in confirming an info session, but then has continued to send messages advising us she will provide a date for a session, which she never actually sends, all we keep receiving are emails every three weeks advising us that she is still looking to plan the session. Very unprofessional. I have removed one star from my rating based on these interactions.

A great vacation
This hotel is great and very close to everything around and more, being in the central Pacific. As most comments here, this area is beautiful, the sunsets are the best, plenty of birds and nice beaches around to explore. The water is warm and you have plenty of activities to enjoy your trip. I particularly loved PIKO TRAVEL Surf Lessons, they know the area like the locals they are and are very familiar with the Surf points and swells, we also did the Tortuga Island Tour which we enjoyed very much. I highly recommend them as they are native to the area and know the people like nobody else. Such a nice experience!! Overall a great vacation. <3

Los Suenos a mirage of beauty and luxury
These place is a rare oasis of peace, the pearl of luxury and not to forget safety! It’s like another world in a middle of desert. When I get to Jaco I was expecting a lot , well except Jaco Walk and some little restaurants around I must admit that it wasn’t what I was expecting. But Los Suenos, yea indeed it’s a dream, it’s a beautiful resort, where you gonna remain amazed seeing the civilisation and nature mixed together in a single bottle of perfume, beautiful mini condominiums raised from the ocean of nature, feeling your nose with exotic fragrance of different flowers combined with the ocean breeze, the sound of parrots and monkeys completing these beautiful mirage. Carry on thru the little streets you will finally get to the boats area, floating quaietly like space ships promising to bring you to the Venus and back. Amazing view indeed, and to complete these landscapes, several decent and beautiful restaurants surrounding the perimeter of Mariot. What impressed me about these little restaurants was the taste and the atmosphere of serenity that they offer together with the culinary temptations and if you are feeling for something sweet there is also a cafeteria with various options available for any tastes. Well before when I was imagining Costa Rica that’s what I was thinking about!

Great stay (2nd time)
This was our 2nd stay here, first was 18 years prior. It's a great spot to stay with plenty to do in the area (vista los suenos zip line and atv, carara park, tarcoles bridge, etc). We picked this over the guanacaste area because there's so much to do. Just have your expectations ready for the beach (which we knew/remembered)- the beach is pretty terrible, brown sand, etc. The pools are great though! All the staff were extremely friendly. We at at the 2 restaurants in the hotel and they were very good, La Hacienda and Bar Ocho, both really good. I think this is a great base to stay while in the area. We headed for 2 nights to manual antonio after this as I think it's too far for a day trip and you get the wildlife/monkeys there (not so much in this area).
