nice hotel but ridiculous pricing to check in early
Stayed here one night early before a cruise Dec. 1. Arrived early and not forewarned that there was a charge for checking in early - the earlier you want to check in the more you pay or sit in lobby for hours. Should have been forewarned of this ridiculous fee. Too tired to sit in lobby so paid the fee and felt ripped off while watching others waltz right toward their rooms with no extra fee. Apparently who matters who you book with. Room service hamburger was good, friendly and helpful luggage staff and quiet room. Overall nice but next time won't arrive early.
Great service and super stay
Stayed at the LAX Marriott for five nights with a personal reservation and an Al Brooks four night stay for the Pasadena Rose Parade and Game Tour. Kristin Hynes, Sales Executive made our stay special. She was so good at communicating and assisting my wife and myself. As a life-time Titanium member of Marriott Bonvoy I appreciate quality service like Kristin gave us. We had a package arriving by UPS and she made sure that it was delivered and secured in their business center. Kristin made sure our two reservations were linked so we didn't have to change rooms, and all went smoothly. We enjoyed the M club lounge and Hangar18 restaurant with great food and service at both. Our room was well appointed, clean and had housekeeping each day. Staff is friendly, especially Kristin, M club lounge and Hangar18. Everyone is experiencing staff shortages and the staff at the LAX Marriott worked hard to keep up with the flow of people. The Hangar18 management cleaned tables, bused dishes and swept floors to keep up with the crowds. Thanks for a job well done! My wife and I look forward to being back next holiday season!
Worst hotel in the world
I had an overnight at the lax Marriott between business trips in December.The staff was rude,the hotel was expensive,the rooms were small and uncomfortable.This hotel adds frivolous charges without your authorization.Do not stay at this hotel! Terrible!
Quick stays due to layovers
Great stay. We had quick stays while we had layovers to:from Hawaii. Perfect location for getting to and from the airport. Great choices for food inside the hotel. It was a busy weekend but the staff was very much available and attentive to our needs. Everything was clean and exceeded our expectations. My only gripe would be the frequency of the hotel shuttles from the airport on busy travel days. The wait was a little longer than expected, which made for long lines of irritated and tired travelers waiting to board the shuttle. My advice to travelers is to dress warm on chilly days because you may be waiting for a while. Other than this, everything was great!
Above average for airport hotel
We chose this property due to it's central location to all things LA. It is a huge hotel and does not feel like a typical airport hotel. It is extremely close to SoFi Stadium & good access to all of the main freeways. We found the employees friendly and attentive. Our room was cleaned every day. The restaurants are good with good service. We also accessed the M Club as platinum Bonvoy members and found the breakfast food really good, but did not vary much each day. There is nothing in the Mclub during the day to grab and go. The snack mix dispenser was empty. Even the coffee machine was out of everything so that was disappointing. We really enjoyed the view looking down at a few of LAX's runways. This hotel also has several electric car chargers which was helpful for our rental to charge overnight. Overall, I would recommend this property and found it to be a good value.
