Not worthy of title JW Marriott.
This hotel is disappointing at best-which is such a shame-having paid a lot of money to stay at a Marriott rather than a Disney hotel with the belief that we would be offered a superior service this has not been the case. Firstly we were provided with a room with 2 double beds for 4 people (I accept this is what was booked as part of my package) however as we were here for 2 weeks we asked the hotel whether there was something bigger as we had 4 large suitcases and lots of hand luggage and it was now a hazard-whilst they were unable to provide a different room without addition cost I would have at least expected them to offer to remove our cases for the duration of the stay to allow more room however this was not an option. Then we have had issues with the TV being extremely slow-the shower has been holding water and not draining properly. Having stayed at JW Marriott worldwide the general demeanour of staff here is below standard-everything is an opportunity to make more money from you. The hotel is at 20% capacity however still wish for us to check out at 10am even though our flight is not till 9pm. When I asked whether they would then provide a shower room prior to us leaving the hotel I was advised this would not be offered without additional cost. Never in all my years of travelling have I stayed in a hotel where a shower room is not provided where there is a late flight. My whole experience has been tainted by the hotel-I would defo say that do not stay here-stay at Disney-the cost difference is minimal and the experience will be superior.

Don’t think twice Book it!
We decided to come for a long weekend getaway to this wonderful hotel. My husband and I travel as titanium Marriott members, and this is the best JW Marriott we have been to in Florida. This time we traveled with our eight year old son. We really were looking for some thing that could be relaxing for the parents, and also fun for our son. It’s exactly what we got! The hotel is large, but not large like the huge Disney parks that we find to be overcrowded, loud, and sometimes dirty. My husband and I got to relax by the pool side while our son did multiple activities that the resort put on, as well as swimming in the pool. We bought him a two dollar float from Walmart before we arrived and he has been in the pool for six hours a day! The service has been beyond our expectations. If you were a titanium member, you get 2 Buffet breakfasts per day included with your stay, as well as one hour per day per person in the spa, which includes a wonderful, aromatherapy shower, steam, rooms, and sauna. I love the spa so much. I ended up booking a service. I booked an 80 minute facial with Marwi it was the best spa experience ever! I woke up after my treatment in the bed, and took me quite a few minutes to even be able to move out of the bed. It was so good! The resort also has a shuttle to any of the Disney parks as well as the return trip at no additional charge. My husband does not love to sit in the sun for long periods of time and so this resort was perfect for him. There are multiple umbrellas around the pool. There is also an adult pool and a family pool as well as a hot tub. When you come into the pool area, the staff will greet you promptly and ask you where you want to sit a and they will set up your towels for you, they, then bring around a pitcher of ice, cold water and cups for you. Thank you so much to each and every staff member at this hotel, you have made this our staycation in Florida!

People and service make a difference
Five stars to Stephanie at the Palm Cove Poolside Grill. Her great attitude and conscientious Service kept me on the property for food and drinks! Thank you Stephanie for making me feel so welcome as a solo traveler!! The Paloma, chicken sandwich and Cesar salad with chicken are my top picks.

Second Stay, Never Again
Booked through Fine Hotels and Resorts with AMEX, only spent a night to pick family members up at the airport. Forget about any upgrades, and I couldn't understand the gentleman checking me in due to his very heavy accent. The chicken sandwich I had at the bar was probably the worst meal I have ever had at any hotels. At least it wasn't expensive, at $19 for a dried out sandwich. Got hit with a $45 resort fee, which I am still wondering what it includes. Only giving two stars because of the available Tesla chargers and good service at breakfast. At least now I know where NOT to stay in Orlando.

Great hotel for busines or vacation
Really nice hotel close to Walt Disney World, Disney Springs and other Disney properties. This is the second time I have stayed here and I remain impressed with the rooms, the decor, the food and the ammenities. A shout out to Leonardo in Illume Restaurant who made a work dinner very special. Watching the Disney and Epcot fireworks from Illume is very memorable. Only wish is that they had more king sized bed rooms. I had to take a double queen room and would have preferred a King.
