  Wonderful spring break for kid and mom!

  Everything was amazing! A huge shout out to the kids club (Yois, Sofía, Paula & Karla). My son enjoyed his time there so much which meant I got to enjoy my time as well (gave me time to go to the gym and the spa - which is fabulous! - with no mom guilt! The hotel is beautiful, service is top notch and the food in general is great. Highly recommend for families but is great for an adult getaway as well.

  Lack of professional service

  This JW Marriott experience has been disappointing at multiple levels. Because of TSA delays of around 4-5 hours, we missed our flight and managed to rebook for the next day. JW Marriott was informed right away and there was no consideration on their part and we had to pay no show penalty of one night stay. I requested the reservation manager if they could extend the stay for one night, Marriott resort credit or future stay credit. As a consolation I was offered 5000 bonus points for a room that was close to 100K points. When we arrive the next day at 2 PM, had to wait for the room check in even though they charged us for the night before. Not just that, second night was a disaster with the loud generator buzzing over our ears making impossible for all of us to sleep or relax in our balcony. There was a power outage and we had the room next to an industrial grade generator. Apparently they could not change the room. Manager apologized and understood our frustration but could not do anything about it . I would expect something more than that from a premium 5-star property

  JW Marriott Refusal to Accept Responsibility

  We have been to this resort several times and enjoyed it. That said, on our last visit we were severely disappointed due to the fact that my wife's $4,000 necklace was missing from our room. The safe box in our room was not operational. We followed management's protocol, filed necessary paperwork and after their investigation JW Marriott will not take responsibility and reimburse for our loss. Bottom line, the resort bears responsibility and liability for the safety and security of it's patrons and belongings. They are not doing that.

  Amazing stay

  Excellent stay as always at the JW Marriott, beautiful views from the pool and five star service from everyone. Axel the front desk Manager is the best and made our stay unforgettable.

  Really amazing place

  I am very impressed with this property. The nature is really superb around it. We are traveling with 3 teenagers and this was during spring break, yet the property never seems to be at capacity and it was tranquil relaxation which likely didn’t suite my kids as it did for my wife and I. Staff is well trained. Amenities top notch. Details below: Rooms We had two rooms in Bld A which has unobstructed ocean views. Nothing beats that, but the rooms are spacious. Very well appointed and updated (do not feel tired). Terraces are big and spacious. Room service was impeccable in terms of cleaning and cadence. We never had to ask for them to come - they just did it seamlessly well. Gym Large and spacious with a ton of equipment. Open 24 hrs. The only small nit - no peloton. But overall- pretty impressive. Food We had for breakfast buffet which was a typical Marriott high standard. It wasn’t as opulent as Marriott Dubai and lacked variety of Tokyo Marriott, but it had everyone would require. I would give it 8 out of 10 overall rating. We also tried restaurants on property for dinner but I would not recommend it in terms of culinary experience. It was a bit pedestrian. There are far better options in town and concierge is very helpful in setting them up. Beach I really live this beach with the sound of waves almost deathening and the breeze. I spent a ton of time there. Then again I am not a pool person. But if you are - you will be happy with abundance of pools both adult only and mix. One note - if you are a novice swimmer, don’t go to the ocean. Waves are pretty wicked. But I lived it. Overall My ultimate litmus test: would I want to come back? This one is a resounding yes!
