This resort is worth the hype!
This resort is top notch! Hands down the nicest resort I've ever stayed at. We didn't get to experience the catamaran arrival due to the ports being closed for weather (we had to take the main ferry) but we were able to take it back on our departure day. So we did get our "White Lotus" moment. Dock/Beach: We are generally swim up bar people. I have never spent so much time oceanside on any of our trips (we do 2-3 Caribbean trips annually). Daniel & Orlando were amazing! I was sad to find out they were off on our last full day. That was the one day our group spent more time at the swim up bar/pool. The slide was so much fun! It is only open twice a day for 2 hours. We rented golf carts for 3 days and explored Isla. We had so many things on our "to do" list that we ran out of time. You can rent golf carts from the resort but they do a pretty significant upcharge ($180/day) vs renting from El Velero directly ($125/day). The food at this resort was amazing. We were able to experience all 5 restaurants. We were a group of 8 so our butler (Amairani) made nightly reservations for us. I'm not a huge fan of reservations and I'm not sure if that was necessary for everyone? I don't know if that is a new Hyatt standard or because it is still low season. Me and my husband were at another Secrets property in September and we made reservations through the app. I am hoping it is just a low season thing and isn't going to be standard across the board. Our next trip is in January (high season) at another Hyatt Inclusive resort, I'm hoping reservations aren't required by then. Butlers: Amairani "Ami" & Zelma were fantastic. They took care of every want/need we could have possibly had. The staff at this resort were all amazing. They all work so incredibly hard. Everyone that we encountered was fabulous! The bartenders and wait staff at the rooftop pool & Unik rooftop bar were fantastic! I didn't catch their names but we spent most evenings lounging at this bar prior to dinner. The lobby lounge/bar was another favorite spot to hang out before dinner. The espresso martinis were delicious! The nightly entertainment: Our favorites: Fire Show, Live Piano Music (piano bar), Ancestral Prehispanic Show & Sunset Sax performance. Thank you for a wonderful experience! We will see you again!

Impression Isla Mujeures by Unbound
Impression Isla Mujeres is an undeniably beautiful resort. It is romantic, intimate, picturesque and exceptionally well suited for couples looking to escape from the world. The architecture, ocean views and overall setting are stunning, and the smaller scale creates a level of tranquility that is difficult to duplicate. What elevated our stay, however, was the staff. Our butlers, Amairani and Zelma, were warm, attentive and extraordinarily responsive. They helped coordinate our stay, anticipated our needs and remained consistently available without ever feeling intrusive. Their care felt sincere and personal, and they deserve enormous credit for the experience we ultimately had. Resort Manager Luis Escandon was equally exceptional. He was personable, visible and extremely accommodating. He personally exercised his discretion to upgrade us two room categories into the Paramount Suite, an extraordinary oceanfront accommodation that materially changed our experience. That upgrade was neither expected nor taken for granted. Mr. Escandon demonstrated what empowered resort leadership can accomplish, and his generosity left a lasting impression on us. Food quality is subjective, but dining was the one area in which the resort initially fell short of our expectations. At this price point and level of positioning, we expected greater consistency, flavor and execution across the restaurants. Because dining is such a central part of an all-inclusive vacation, the gap was too significant for us to overlook and is the reason I cannot award the resort five stars. What deserves substantial recognition is how the team responded when we shared our feedback. Food and Beverage Manager Mr. Oliver listened carefully and addressed our concerns with professionalism and genuine interest. Lead Chef Manuel Morales became personally involved, and Chef Jarvin at UNIK met with us several times and prepared thoughtful dishes that transformed our dining experience there. UNIK ultimately became the culinary highlight of our stay. Nobody became defensive or treated us as difficult guests. Instead, Mr. Oliver, Chef Manuel and Chef Jarvin took ownership and made a sincere effort to improve our experience. Their response demonstrated outstanding hospitality and, together with Amairani, Zelma and Mr. Escandon, essentially saved our vacation. This is a gorgeous resort supported by some truly exceptional people. The service, setting, romance and accommodations are worthy of the resort’s luxury positioning. If the culinary experience becomes as consistently strong as the property and its staff, Impression Isla Mujeres will easily deserve five stars. Until then, four stars feels both fair and honest. Our sincere thanks to Amairani, Zelma, Mr. Oliver, Manuel Morales, Chef Jarvin and Luis Escandon. Each of you made a meaningful difference, and we will remember your kindness and professionalism long after the trip.

Check in as guest - Leave as family
Impression Isla Mujeres has made it to my very favorite place to stay in all my travels (16 countries, countless cities). I have visited Isla Mujeres for about 10 years and remember this property when it was a shell of what it is now. Everything here is breathtaking. The pictures you see everywhere are exactly what it's like. What my review is is what you don't necessarily see in the Instagram pictures and is what, in my opinion, makes this place so amazing. I have just returned from my third visit in 5 months and will be returning again soon. I will fly 4 hrs here for my short stays because 1 or 2 nights here is better than zero nights. Starting with the private catamaran to the island you are treated so incredibly well (Take the early one over to maximize the magic) Everyone is greeted with the "wave" and a "Welcome Home" drink and cold towel. Coming home is exactly how you feel. My butlers were Erick & Roberto. Day & night butlers (what??!! I'm just a regular girl - I have not one but TWO butlers?!). They are there for anything you might want. Reservations, reminders, all of it. Amazing service. Amazing. They're the best! From the restaurants, the pools (the small pool below the pool bar has the coolest water and most times you have it to yourself), the 24 hr little cafe, to the beach cabanas you are treated to top notch service. I was greeted every day by ALL the staff. I told everyone "Estoy Aprendiendo" and they were so kind and patient with helping me with my sometimes terrible Spanish. Shout out to all my servers and bartenders for being my teachers. On my first visit it was my birthday celebration and I had special desserts in my room every day. At Wildfire my server (the sweetest gentleman - I'm so sorry I didn't get your name), the beautiful hostess Alexa, manager Rocio & others sang me Las Mañanitas. I may have cried because my grandfather used to play that on the harmonica to me every year without fail. It was perfect. Take advantage of the activities! I made candles & made an eagle head from pottery. I've done floating meditation, made ceviche with master chef Ruben and Mayan tamales with another chef and her crew (take ALL the cooking classes). If you are lucky Abril will be your teacher for some of the activities - she's the best! Beyond kind with the most beautiful smile. I've done both the floating meditation (so relaxing) & a candle making class with her. She takes all her knowledge and brings it all to life. You can also find her at the front desk as a bonus! As an introvert, even I had the best time meeting other guests. Do the specialty celebration/holiday dinners if they are going on while you are there. Who is the genius that puts them on?!!! They need all the accolades. Food and entertainment is great. I was there for 4th of July and it was incredible but the Halloween party was insanely impressive. They had a mixologist before the dinner and in the ballroom the decorations were out of this world. Shout out to Frankie for keeping this solo lady company and celebrating when I won the costume contest! The Dia de los Muertos shows were beautiful. Regular entertainment is also great! They have disco nights, fire shows, a piano bar with karaoke depending on the nights you are there. As a small resort, it's just the right amount of fun. Not crazy, not a "party" scene. Just right. Rooms: I booked a partial ocean view but my last visit I was in the fancy oceanfront room. I've stayed in both 1520 & 1320 (POV). 1520 is the best one. I know the oceanfront rooms are supposed to be the "best" (and yes - they are next level. No joke next level - 1110 is AMAZING) but I think the POV rooms need to be given some love. You are greeted with the most BEAUTIFUL sunrise right from your bed every morning. They should to be marketed as "sunrise rooms" (make sure to keep the shades open) - I'm not sure there's a better way to greet the day (unless you walk to Punta Sur). My suggestions of things to eat: Unik - if you are here on Sunday do the brunch. The pozole is to die for. They have sushi, and all the brunch stuff. Regular breakfast at Unik - try the omelet or French toast and the specialty juices. Sake - Definitely do the teppanaki. Super fun with the talented Lorenzo. At the restaurant side the rock shrimp was delicious Wildfire - The bread is so good! Have the berry or tomato salad. Tenderloin is my favorite cut of steak (I've tried most of them). Staff at the bar make the best drinks! Wine was also great. Cacao - The coffee & juices are great but the pastries are sooo yummy. Strawberry tarts and the butter cookies with the jam in the middle - yes please. Wateractivities: They have kayaking, paddleboards, and snorkeling. You can take a class or do it on your own. Water is amazing - if you've never experienced the Isla ocean you're in for a treat. Plus the waterslide looks fun. I actually might try it next time. They also have morning bike rides. They're ebikes so I imagine it's not too strenuous. I would love to do it but I'm afflicted with the clumsy gene. Rent the golf cart and go around the island, it's super convenient that they have them there so you don't have to rent them offsite. Pricing is competitive. They will also call a taxi for you even at 5am to go catch the sunrise at Punta Sur. The spa: Do it! I had a massage and did the hydrotherapy thing. Yaniya was my massage therapist and has magical hands. One of the few things that are an extra cost but well worth it. They have several additional cost things like romantic dinners, wine tasting, floating breakfast, scuba, stuff like that. This resort is part of Save the Sharks Foundation (love this!!!) - they have an outing where you snorkel with the sharks. I've done the whale sharks lots of times but this might just top that. This is new on my bucket list. Saving up for this one!! I know this is long, I could write a novel about all this place has to offer. Before I finish I need give thanks to Lalo, who checks me in every visit, Miguel at the yacht bar who sends me off with the best drinks, Carlos my favorite server, Eric, Daniel at the beach and to everyone that remembers me when I return (I feel like this is an Oscar moment speech - lol). I've had more fun, shared laughs and conversations with you all more than anywhere I've traveled. A special shout out to, Luis, the front desk manager - not just for being super nice but having such an amazing staff that provides such a welcoming professional first "impression". To the GM...thank you for all of it. You all make this traveler feel so very special and I appreciate you for everything. Each time better than the one before. To have that level of consistency and service makes this resort so outstanding. This place is not just for couples or honeymooners. Perfect for friends or solo travelers (like me). I was told Impression is switching over to Hyatt's Unbound Collection so I'm very excited to see how that will be. To finish - yes, this is a luxury resort. I said previously, I'm just a regular person. Not bougie nor expectant of all of this opulence or pampering. I have traveled the world and stayed at loads of places at all price points. As such, I am well aware of the cost for travelers like me and it is 100% worth every penny. Trust me. This place is magic. I highly recommend coming here to experience this beautiful island and amazing resort. Impression Isla Mujeres has perfected luxury and elegance with the warmth and kindness that Mexico offers. Hasta la próxima vez Rosanna

A True Home Away from Home!
We have stayed at Impression Isla Mujeres several times over the past two years, totaling nearly 25 days, and every visit has been nothing short of exceptional. In fact, we are already planning our return next year because this hotel boutique truly feels like home. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. A special thank you to Mourad, Ritik, our incredible butlers Erick and Roberto, as well as the UVC team. Their attention to detail, warm welcome, and an exceptional upgrade to a spectacular suite elevated our stay to an entirely different level. Every aspect of our visit was thoughtfully handled, and nothing was overlooked to ensure we felt comfortable, valued, and completely at ease. We would also like to recognize Simone, the chef at Spezia. We enjoyed lunch there almost every day (and dinners!) and may have returned home with a few extra pounds! The food was consistently outstanding, and his team always made us feel welcome. The breakfast experience at UNIK was equally memorable. Many thanks to the chef and the wonderful team members, including Carlos, Eric, Eric, Ariana, and many others who made every morning special. A heartfelt thank you as well to Manuel, the sommelier, and the entire team at Wildfire Grill. The service, attention to detail, and professionalism consistently exceeded our expectations. We were also fortunate to enjoy a private dinner in the Wine Cellar, beautifully organized Manuel (thanks to Eli). It was truly beyond our expectations. The food, wine pairings, ambiance, and personalized service created a memorable dining experience. We would also like to thank April, Frankie and their colleagues for the outstanding activities and entertainment throughout our stay. Their energy, enthusiasm, warmth, and professionalism perfectly reflected the spirit and high standards of the property. The activities were engaging, fun, and exceptionally well organized, adding yet another layer to an already unforgettable vacation experience. One final note for future guests: due to bad weather, we had to take the Ultramar ferry on our way to the hotel. Rather than being an inconvenience, it turned into a great experience and an opportunity to see more of the island. The hotel team was waiting for us upon arrival and ensured that the transfer process was seamless and stress-free. On our return trip, the weather had improved, and we were able to enjoy the usual fantastic catamaran transfer. The hotel cannot control the weather, so if this happens during your visit, embrace it as part of the adventure and an opportunity to discover Isla Mujeres from a different perspective. Thank you again to everyone at Impression Isla Mujeres for another unforgettable stay. It is the people who make this place so special. Your warmth, dedication, and attention to every detail are what keep bringing us back year after year. For us, Impression Isla Mujeres is the perfect example of what a luxury boutique hotel should be: intimate, personalized, elegant, and genuinely welcoming. The exceptional service, remarkable dining experiences, and sincere care shown by every team member make this property stand out in every way. It is much more than a vacation destination. It truly feels like a home away from home. Mourad, Ritik and everyone, see you next April! ★★★★★ Highly Recommended!

Five starts arrival to departure!
Five stars from arrival to farewell! From the moment we stepped aboard the catamaran for the ride to the island, Impression Isla Mujeres felt like something truly special. The breathtaking views, gorgeous property, and fantastic food made this an unforgettable getaway. Everywhere we looked, there was another beautiful spot to soak it all in. What truly set our experience apart, though, was the exceptional five-star service. Our wonderful butlers, Amy and Zelma, took such thoughtful care of us and handled every detail, allowing us to completely relax and enjoy our time in paradise. Their warmth, attentiveness, and personal touches made us feel so welcome and cared for. Impression Isla Mujeres is a spectacular resort, but it’s the people who make it extraordinary. We couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful stay!
