Check-in Policy - Hotel requires a credit/debit card authorization or cash deposit upon check-in for incidentals; this will place a hold on your funds.

SPRING BREAK POLICY - Bookings traveling in the months of March and April will be subject to the following conditions:
- The minimum age requirement for check-in is 18. One parent or chaperone at least 25 years of age will be required per room for check-in.
- In the event that any guests engage in inappropriate behavior or cause physical damages to the facilities, the Hotel Management reserves the right to expel the said guest without reimbursement or refund of the remaining nights.
SPRING BREAK GROUPS POLICY - Students/youth are considered between 16 and 23 years of age. In addition to the Spring Break Policy for all bookings traveling March-April, Groups shall adhere to the following conditions:
- Any student/youth group must be pre-approved and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
- Upon check-in, each group will be required to leave a refundable cash deposit per room for any charges or damages that might be incurred during the stay.

From the minute we arrived, it was a bit confusing and complicated with the rooms but FRANCESCO made it an exceptional experience. 1- rooms were not the one booked and not close to each other ( since we’re a family ) 2-for the 1st night my bed went flying since it was missing feet on one side 3- no cold water 4- after 5 times trying keys wasn’t working But I do understand since it’s not their fault these things happen and it out of their control but OMG Francesco as a manger handled every situation beautifully and with a smile and grace ! His positivity is addictive and makes you feel so good by fixing the problems and calling back and checking if we’re ok and if we need smtg else ! His level of customer service and care is honestly so elevated and goes ABOVE and BEYOND and am just bravo Francesco for this beautiful experience, if I come back ( it’s for you !!!!) Iberostar hotel is very lucky to have you . The hotel was decorated beautifully for Christmas. The staff went above and beyond in every interaction we had with them and were very friendly. The room was very spacious. We especially loved having the walk to the pool and beach in the gardens . Our dinner food was ok and the service made the experience even better. The whole stay has prompted us to seek out Iberostar properties for future trips. We absolutely loved PuntA Cana , and the manager Francesco definitely made the stay more special and enjoyable.

Loved This Vacation!
We just got back from a 12-night vacation at Iberostar Waves Punta Cana. This was probably our 6th trip to the Dominican, and we were so happy with our stay here. The staff were absolutely wonderful. From the help at the front desk to the service in the restaurants/buffets to the entertainment team- all staff were awesome! Shout out to Matos at the buffet- loved him!!! They all looked like they enjoyed their jobs and liked interacting with the vacationers. There was so much to do all day. We started with tennis or pickle ball, then activities at the pool followed by activities at the beach (beach volleyball)! Our 20-year-old loved the gym and we highly recommend the amenities at the spa. The buffets had a huge variety of food choices every day, and on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve, the spread of food was unbelievable! The Asian restaurant was our favourite, followed by the Mexican restaurant. There was never a problem finding beach chairs or pool chairs. The layout and the property was great. We loved having the row of little shops right beside the resort. As others have said in previous reviews, there are workers approaching you constantly on the beach trying to sell merchandise and excursions. We bought bracelets, a Scubadoo excursion and henna tattoos. If you say "no thank you", they keep on walking- they don't harass you. Four of our family members golfed 3 times & said it was one of the best golf courses they've ever played! I would rate this place a 4.8 out of 5. If I could improve one thing, it would be the nightly entertainment. There is an app that tells you what's happening every day, but at night, it was hard to figure out because it didn't seem to be updated. One night we stumbled upon a beach party we didn't even know was happening. Some family members had already gone to bed not knowing there was more going on. If they just posted a sign at breakfast saying what time & what event was happening each night, that would have been great. We tipped everywhere, but most people did not. It didn't seem to matter. Everyone got treated equally. I would highly recommend this resort!

I would love to give the resort a better rating as my family and I had a great time. The resort and beach were lovely. What soured the entire trip for us was a high pressure sales pitch to join the Star Prestige Club. We signed the contract knowing there was a 5 day grace period to cancel. After doing some math, my husband and I realized the club membership was not a good fit for us, so we sent a request to cancel via email to member services. Aside from a confirmation email that our request was received, we have heard NOTHING back. The sales rep who sold us the membership has stopped responding to my messages, customer service just sends me standardized responses, and calling the customer service hotline is useless. Iberostar is great, but DO NOT ATTEND THE VIP/SALES PITCH BREAKFAST AND DO NOT JOIN THE STAR PRESTIGE CLUB. This has been a very costly mistake.

Dec 28, 2024This is a really nice property with nice pools and close to the beach. However, their customer service is lacking a lot.
There was plenty of staff around to help and answer questions but no one offered us assistance. And when we asked- no one spoke English. It was very frustrating. No wash cloths in the rooms- we asked for them and no one understood us. We were told to make dinner reservations when we arrived and when we got there, they said it’s first come first serve at restaurants which is frustrating. The food selection at the buffet was very mediocre and looked skeptical.

Punta Cana Getaway
Lucely and the team at Iberostar were all welcoming and gave great service. She was warm and friendly. The resort has a beautiful beach and great entertainment. Family-friendly. A good balance of fun and relaxation. We had a good time here as a family.
