Wonderful Hotel
We stayed at the Iberostar for 4 nights pre-cruise. The hotel is in a perfect location, all staff helpful and friendly. Our room was beautiful overlooking the square across the street and breakfast was delicious. Barcelona is a wonderful city and we look forward to returning one day and staying in this lovely hotel again.

Fine hotel in great location
Wife and I stayed 2 nights before our cruise. It was a convenient location, took the Aerobus from airport for only $6 Euros. The bus stopped short walk from the hotel. We arrived early, left our luggage, then went up to rooftop lounge, relaxed and took in the panoramic view of Placa Catalunya. Rooms were comfortable, great rainfall shower, lovely city view. Would recommend to NOT get direct view of the plaza, as it can get very loud at night. We had side view and it was quieter. OK, elevators are slow but we dealt with it. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful with hot and cold options. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Perfect view, great location
The location of this hotel can not be better!! right across from Plaza Cataluña, walking distance to Ramblas and to great restaurants , around the corner from Paseo De Gracia where you can find great shopping. The staff was excellent specially the reception staff. Special mention to Katerina who was always so kind and willing to help. The breakfast at the hotel needs a special mention for its great quality, many options , hot and cold. The staff was very welcoming and promp to attend to your needs. If you can stay at a room with a terrace, order room service and eat out enjoying the view. Is totally worth it. We will go back to Barcelona and definitely will be staying here.

Great Location but there a downsides to this property
This hotel has an excellent location in Barcelona. The rooftop bar and pool is amazing. That said, the lobby is too small for Silversea pre hotel. The elevator system is really difficult to use and makes the stay a real pain. The room was ok and very modern and stark in their renovation. The bathrooms are pretty nice. The check in process is difficult and really not suited for large cruise groups. I probably would not stay here again.

Good location
The hotel is in a great location for walking to the old town and Visitng great restaurants. The housekeepers were great at keeping our room tidy and bringing towels. The hotel overall was hot in the hallways, needs to be remodeled as the windows were not double paned to handle the amount of noise coming from the plaza. At night we heard singing, yelling and street noise making it hard to sleep. Luckily we downloaded a “white noise app”. The carpet in the hallways is gross and not sure what’s up with the insect theme on the walls and in the elevators. Bed was too firm. The front staff and concierge was nice & helpful with restaurant advice. Think time for a 2023 remodel to accommodate the changes in the environment and updates to decor and comfort.
