Horrid welcome, I had a heavy few bags and even though there were three people at reception and someone there to help with bags they all just looked and ignored me, Warning to all British Customers that they try and double charge you for paying for the bill. Their machines say Euros, but then they offer another option which even the staff say is confusing, they’re trying to trick you to paying in pounds so that you pay for double conversions.
Lovely stay in Lisbon
Lovely stay at the Iberostar hotel in Lisbon. Stayed for 3 nights in a superior double. Our room was very comfortable, large super king bed with walk in shower and separate toilet room. Though our room was facing main road we did not get any noise from daily traffic. Stayed on 5th floor. There is a water fountain available in the corridor, with a jug and glasses in the room, great idea and really eco friendly with no plastic usage. We are celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary this year and the hotel kindly left a bottle of bubbly, lovely chocolates and a framed photo of the two of us (hotel had asked for a picture prior to our arrival). What a lovely gesture to greet us on our arrival and very much appreciated. Breakfast was very good, something for everyone. Staff at the hotel are very attentive and helpful. Hotel is appropriately 20/25 minutes walk from centre of Lisbon or you can jump on metro for 2 stops. Definitely recommend a stay.
Fantastic stay at The Iberostar Selection Lisboa.
There is nothing negative to say about the Iberostar Lisboa. We have just had 3 wonderful nights there. A break we booked through British Airways. On arrival we were greeted by friendly Front of House staff who checked us in. Our bags were taken into storage by a lovely member of staff who proceeded to give us a complimentary glass of sparkling wine. The room was immaculate. The mattress was comfortable and the pillows fluffy. Fortunately we had booked an inclusive breakfast deal and so glad we did. It was incredible with a vast choice. The location is out of the city centre but only 3 stops on the metro. Staff had recommended an Italian restaurant called The Garage which is literally across the road from the hotel. Please try it as you will not be disappointed. We ate there every evening and enjoyed it every night.
No double beds.
Just arrived in Lisbon and checked into this hotel. Two single beds put together for a couple staying for a weekend. Apparently the hotel did not know we were a couple and so provide two single beds which were put together. The hotel does not provide any double mattresses but is happy can make two single beds into a double bed by giving us a double sheet tomorrow! The hotel does not have a room with a double bed! Apparently this is normal. I thought I should let people know.
Beautiful hotel. Spacious room. Comfortable bed. Great Shower! Stayed for 3 nights, the hotel was very clean and tidy and the room was very large with all amenities provided. A little bit out of the city but public transport and cheap Uber make it a breeze to get around! Breakfast was great with a HUGE selection. Used the spa services, competitively priced and very enjoyable. The hotel bar was also lovely, drinks were great and decent prices (11 Euro per cocktail, check in advance for offers on happy hour too!) Would definitely stay again if in Lisbon, highly recommended!
