We stayed there in February of2026 and I noticed broken cabanas, crowded club member area, and not enough servers. We went back in September of this year and a lot of improvements were made. The area for members was expanded, new cabanas were installed, the barrier to control sea weed was also installed. We were much happier.

Rated 4 stars, but that feels a bit generous. Don't get me wrong—we had a very good stay overall with plenty of highlights: • Staff: Professional, friendly, and exceptionally hard-working. The bar staff in particular never stopped moving and always greeted us warmly without exeption. • Cleanliness: Flawless throughout. We had no issues with our room or any public areas. • A La Carte Dining: The food and service were great, and we ended up trying to eat at the different restaurants every evening. • Pools: Crystal clear water and immaculate surrounding areas. A special mention to the two attendants at the infinity pool who provided fantastic service. • Rooms: Updated and comfortable. However, three main negatives held it back for us: 1. Buffet Food: Very hit-or-miss, frequently served lukewarm or cool regardless of what time we went. 2. Dining Reservations: A major point of frustration. The app showed very limited availability, mostly locking us into the earliest sittings (around 6:00 or 6:45 PM). Booking other resort restaurants required going through Guest Services, which took hours for confirmation. 3. The Casino: The vibe felt a bit flat and uninviting for a place where you go to have fun. Many of the table dealers seemed disengaged or unhappy, to the point where playing automated roulette was actually more enjoyable than the live tables. Only our opinion: At first glance, it might sound like there isn't much to complain about. In fact, if you prefer eating early, are a bit more open-minded with your palate, and aren't interested in the casino, you'll likely rate this resort much higher than we did.

great hotel, pity about the room.
My wife and I spent 10 days at the Iberostar selection and we had a great time, the food at the hotel was very very good, we ate mainly in the salt and soul & El Faro restaurant's, we did try other restaurant's but found the two restaurant's mentioned to be far more tranquil, all the fruit salads vegetable's were really fresh as was the fish, the presentation of the food was always very good, we had no problems at all with tummy troubles at the hotel after eating the salads or other items rinsed in water. The area around the infinity pool was really nice, the sun loungers were very comfy and the beach towels soft and plentiful, the infinity pool itself was clean and is a great length for an early morning swim. Whilst we were at the hotel there was a nice selection of guests from around the world giving us the chance to practice our languages. The Coral is part of a very large complex so its fun to walk around and explore the other parts of the hotel and find the other ice cream parlours. the grounds around the hotel are vey well kept the Orchid garden is worth a quick visit and was the Coral farm, its great to see a hotel trying to rewild the sea, this seemed to be a theme throughout the hotel, with glass bottles and water refill stations being used instead of single use plastics. One thing worth a mention is we did travel with TUI, who offer trips via the rep, ( this tip is not sold via the hotel) we did the exclusive Soana Island boat trip, on reflection I do think this trip is " well sold" by the rep and doesn't measure up to the sell, this was reflected by other travellers we met, I wouldn't recommend this trip to others. Okay now the reason I didn't give the hotel a five star review, when we arrived at the hotel we paid £350 to upgrade to room 2343 with a sea view, the room itself was very nice, the bed was comfy, the room itself is split level with all tea and coffee facilities and fridge, but... whilst I was having a shave the first morning I noticed the sink was leaking badly, the water was running out of the sink, down the small shelf onto my feet, this was puddling on the floor making the floor very slippery, it took 5 days for the hotel to rectify the problem, I reported this via the app 5 times each time I backed the request up with a phone call to reception as there is not a specific " leaking sink" category on the app. We also had a problem with the shower, the first time I used the shower I noticed the water was extremely hot, thinking this was operator error I adjusted the control the other way, this made no difference to the temperature, no matter what I did the water stayed very hot, I immediately reported this to reception, after 3 days the shower situation had not changed so I phoned reception again and explained the situation, the member of the team I spoke too said " there is a problem with the cold water to the room" and I would just have to wait for the problem to be fixed. There was also a problem with the shower extract system, it didn't work for the duration of the stay leading to the room having a somewhat musty smell, I gave up reporting this after a few days, all in all a very poor value for money upgrade and slow reaction to these issues from the hotel. We did also notice some noise from the refresh of the Salt and Soul restaurant which I feel could have been done with more consideration to guests, steel trestles being dropped on the concrete floor and shouting hardly help the relaxing atmosphere around what is otherwise quite a chilled area. All the staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful, we also had the pleasure of meeting other fellow guests, some British and some of other Nationalities. All in all we had a very good stay at the the coral level i just think the hotel let their selves down with the poor bathroom and the reaction to the reports to the slippery floor issues

Nice stay, few small issues
We definitely had the best of the 3 hotels for what we wanted, food ,staff and some peace most of the time were lovely. There was some work being done which I have to say was noisy at times whilst we were trying to relax on sunbeds by the pool . We were not made aware of this before we flew . Management appoligised but it still went ahead . We decided to upgrade the room for a sea front view , it was nice but again a few issues . Toilet stopped flushing, this was fixed . Shower was only hot , very hot Sink leaked , 3 times app said completed but wasn't, the maid helped and it finally got fixed . We then had a call being told our move had been organised? Which we never asked for and certainly weren't going to move as we were only days away from coming home . They apologised but nothing was given or done as a gesture for any of the inconveniencies all be it small ones but as I said you don't pay £350 more to get issues . Room was nice though . The other two hotels attached were alot busier and roudy so if your looking for a quieter time this is the one , in fact it was extremely quiet we were very surprised. Maybe just time of the year . All in all I would have been happy to stay longer .

Choose here, you won’t regret it.
Overall the service provided at the Iberostar selection coral Bávaro was indeed wonderful. Joan Rodriquez, joskar, beinvenedo, Luiz, Sofia, Jefri was amazing. The location of the room was great and very close to the restaurant and beach. The atmosphere was vibrant and activities was always enjoyable. Great value for your money, the property was very clean from the room to the sand.
