Wonderful
Great experience! I enjoyed the variety of the food and good service. Everyone was friendly. I would bring your own bandaids and be careful around the pool for glass. Doctor visits even for cuts are charged and staff does not give you bandaids for stepping on broken glass.

Worth the visit !
We have been here many times but because there had been no nonstop flights not for past couple of years. Alaska Air came out with nonstop from St Louis and we were happy to go back. We love the private beach and gorgeous sunsets! It was nice to see some of the same staff who have been there for many years including Rodriguez with luggage. It was great to see Christian at Blaze who got our order perfect every time we wert there (and that was our favorite restaurant). We enjoyed running into Ivan although he was at the main pool and we were on beach, we took time to talk with him and catch up. On beach Fernando, Jesus, and Jose (sexy waiter) took good care of us. You really do feel at home. Despite there being 3 weddings on Fri night, everything still ran smoothly and was quiet by 10 pm. Our routine is to eat breakfast, go to beach, eat lunch, back to beach, shower and get dinner, watch a little TV and lights out to do it all again the next day. The sunsets never get old no matter how many times you have been. We got in on a Sat and saw whales later in the day, and again on Sun, and then once more on Fri but they were out too far to get any pictures. I overpacked and probably only wore a third of what I did pack. The rooms are pretty standard. Did not like that there are no longer any ice machines, as you have to order ice from room service, and the housekeeping could have been a little better as there were days that no wash clothes or hand towels were left, and no glasses replaced. I hope that management knows and appreciates that the staff go out of their way to make for an enjoyable stay. We will be back.

Wonderful overall experience
I booked this resort kind of last minute and thought the rate was really good. Overall, I had a great experience. We were in a regular swim out room. The location of our room had pros and cons. We were in the first room in the building closest to the elevator bay. There was a lot of foot traffic in the mornings while we're sitting on our patio. There is also a lot of foot traffic in front of the room with people heading to the beach. There is zero privacy and we often kept our sheer curtain drawn. However, the water in the pool is the perfect temperature and we enjoyed being out there in the afternoon. That first room gets a little bit of shade from greenery they have for privacy from the sidewalk. That is very nice because it's just a little. We are also the best location to get waited on from the beach waiters. They will come up and take drink orders for you. The rooms at the far end of the building have to walk down to our room to pick up their drinks. It's a fun way to meet people, but do not expect any kind of privacy in this room. One con for the resort is there is not a good place to go for pre- or post-dinner drinks. The only bar open at that time is the sports bar, which also serves as the lobby bar. It is truly a sports bar with lots of TV's, pool table, etc. There is a terrace area with lounge seating outside the sports bar that is nicer. This is the only place to get a drink once the pool and beach bars close at 6 or 7. I like to go somewhere with a nice view or a nice ambience to relax before dinner. The food here is above average for all-inclusive resorts. It's actually very good. We loved the Italian, Mexican, and Seafood grill. Blaze is the seafood grill and open for B, L, D and all three are great. Pools are heated to a comfortable temp and we never thought they felt cold. They are not bathtub "warm." There is a hot tub that is warmer, but not really hot. Customer service here is very good, all the reception staff and wait staff we encountered were fantastic. The maintenance and upkeep on the resort is good. It's an old resort that they keep looking nice and modern.

A magical wedding at a magical resort
Our wedding was beyond magical at the Hyatt Ziva. Alicia Alvarez a made our entire day easy from beginning to end. Aside from our memorable wedding, the food, the resort, the spa, and the facilities were all to the highest standard. So much so, that some of our wedding guests are booking future stays.

Perfect 10/10 for Multi-Generational Celebrations!
We recently celebrated a 60th birthday here with a party of eight, and this resort truly caters to every age group. Our group ranged from a teenager and a young couple to guests in their 50s/60s and even an 83-year-old—and everyone was equally impressed. Highlights of our stay: The Beach: Pristine, private, and very accessible for our older family members. Dining: Exceptional food and beverage quality across the board. Service: The staff is incredibly loyal and attentive; you can tell they genuinely care about the guest experience. Pro Tip: If you can, upgrade to the Club Level. The concierge service made coordinating a large group effortless and was worth every penny. We’re already planning our return trip!
