This was my first time at an all-inclusive and it was amazing! Staff is super friendly. The food at the Lola Beach restaurant is fresh and unique and has a great ambiance. There is only one pool area, but it's not a very crowded resort so it never felt too busy. They have a swim up bar and big hot tub and plenty of chairs. Plus a beach spot with chairs and cabanas. There is a cute little coffee shop with gelato and other treats too. If you are like super into night-life, there is no club on the resort. The sports bar does have a dance floor but it closed around midnight so if you prefer lots of late night options maybe this isn't the place for you but if you are just looking for a getaway where you can lounge around and eat and drink, this will work for sure.

Sad to leave!
Amazing! This was truly one of my favorite resorts I have ever stayed on. If you were looking for a experience where you can completely relax, but also have the option of having many activities to choose from and great food. This is your spot. The staff is kind, patient and quick to assist with any problems you may have. But do lock your door, or the coatis will break in! The spa facilities are very relaxing and this resort is tucked back in a very quiet place. 10/10 would recommend and will be coming back soon!

This resort was high quality, perfect for couples or groups looking for a mature vacation but not too much partying. Room was nice, very clean and well maintained. The bathroom was very spacious, double sink, large shower with waterfall shower head as well as extendable shower head setup. Shower drain was slow, if you take a shower water will back up after a few minutes. Room had a balcony but Coati's roam the property freely so they climb across the roofs and there is quite a bit of poop, but they are friendly so as long as you dont feed them you dont really have to worry about them bugging you. Service overall was really good, food quality was really good for the most part. All of the food/drinks are included at all restaurants/cafes/bars with the exception of a few high ticket items (lobster, wagyu, etc) on a couple of the menus but you will still have amazing food experience without them. There are only 4 restaurants so the wait grows quickly for dinner service, I recommend going to dinner before 7p. The buffet has really good breakfast and there is never a wait here. The only restaurant where the food was not good was the snack bar by the pool, other than food was mostly really good. Pool side cabana rental was definitely worth it and the service was great, entertainment was decent but if you are looking for a party hotel this is probably not for you. Spa experience was 10/10!! This was definitely the highlight of the resort. I would stay here again.

Beautiful Resort and Exceptional Service, But the Food Falls Short of Five Stars
We recently stayed at Hyatt Zilara Maya Riviera, and there is no question that the property itself is beautiful. From the moment you walk in, the architecture and meticulously maintained grounds create a true jungle oasis. The rooms are modern and comfortable, with an excellent bed and a spacious, well designed shower. Our hosts, Diaz and Fernanda, were outstanding. They made scheduling effortless and kept us informed about daily events. The service throughout the resort is genuinely five star. The staff clearly care. The spa, located about half a mile away in the jungle, is a highlight. The open air hydrotherapy area is unique and peaceful, and the massage was world class. It is expensive, but that is expected at this level. They were willing to work with us on a package, which we appreciated. Now for the part that simply cannot be overlooked: the food. Before posting this review, I spoke directly with a manager about our experience, so this feedback should not be a surprise. Unfortunately, the dining program is nowhere near five star. Compared to our previous stays at NYX Hotel Cancun and Hyatt Zilara Cancun, the buffet and restaurant offerings here feel dramatically scaled down, and not in a refined or curated way. Smaller can work if the quality is exceptional. That is not the case. With one major exception, the food was bland, uninspired, and poorly executed. The buffet offerings were dull and lacked both color and creativity. The omelette station at breakfast was acceptable, but pasta dishes were consistently overcooked and flavorless. Presentation at the Italian restaurant was shockingly minimal for a property marketed as luxury. At Capri Grill and Lola, the issue was not just presentation, it was flavor. I have rarely encountered food so consistently under seasoned. If prior feedback suggested dishes were too bold or spicy, the kitchen has overcorrected dramatically. The result is food with virtually no character. The low point was the chicken in peanut sauce, which appeared to be processed, molded chicken sliced in half, with ridges from the tube still visible, covered in sauce. That is simply not acceptable at this price point. On one day, hot dogs were offered as a poolside lunch option. While they were not served daily, even featuring them at all felt out of place for a five star resort. Elevated casual fare would make sense, tacos, ceviche, fresh grilled options, but this missed the mark. The one bright spot is Tempest, the sushi restaurant. It was outstanding both nights we dined there, beautifully presented, flavorful, and creative. Whoever is running that kitchen should be leading the entire food operation. The service, facilities, and overall ambiance are exceptional. But at a luxury all inclusive, dining is a central part of the experience. Right now, the culinary program significantly underperforms. I love Cancun and will absolutely return, but I would not stay here again until I see consistent reviews that reflect meaningful improvements in the food.
