Sleepless in Sacramento
Luckily I only needed to stay one night, on the 4th floor. Sadly I did not sleep very much... Here's my pros and cons list: Pro - The staff is friendly, cheerful, and super helpful. - The room I paid extra for has ample space and is clean. - Convenient location. - Valet parking. Cons - There was water damage in the hotel and loud dehumidifiers running and beeping throughout the night. - No one informed guests that there was a water issue/incident, and they still charged full price. - My room was not very soundproof to traffic on the street and screaming children at 12 am. - The AC unit in the ceiling creaked all night. - Water pressure was sub-par and is slow to heat and cool. - The only working elevator smells like smoke.

Can be so much better at this price point
Wonderful staff! The rooms though need to be cleaned better if the hotel will not invest in remodeling. The rooms and hallways look old and tired. The restaurants and bars are good, common areas were clean but still needs freshening up. Water pressure needs improvement. Love that dogs are allowed!

Not equipped to be busy
This is a beautifully located and nicely decorated hotel, but it is not equipped to actually have a large number of guests at one time. Staff is needed and things like the pool and spa were not in working order or properly equipped. Not to mention very thin walls and poorly lit bathrooms. No bathrobes were available in the rooms. Water in room was greatly overpriced. Everything felt nickel and dimed. Would use again for hosting family (as I did on this trip) only due to location and proximity to other areas of interest.

Decent hotel but a depressing city
The Hotel was ok. The room was spacious, but there wasn't much else in the hotel to set it apart. Sacramento is a somewhat disappointing city with not much happening downtown, other than homelessness.

Hyatt Regency Sacramento - conveniently located, nice staff, pleasant rooms
This hotel is great for a weekend vacation in Sacramento. Close to hiking the American River, good restaurants, downtown...located near the capital, self parking or valet parking, Starbucks next door for convenient breakfast...
