  Wonderful and exciting expierence

  An overall excellent experience. The staff was responsive, the restaurants were accommodating, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the other guests were respectable. I plan to return in the future.

  Not so good anniversary weekend

  Matress in bad condition even booking a Premiere Villa. A/C wasn’t working good enough . Front desk difficult to reach by phone, had to make mg complaint by text. Manager Carla never called back

  Massive quiet resort with beautiful scenery

  The resort is huge and gorgeous. There’s a ton of wild life to see, which we loved. It’s very quiet and peaceful out there, very little noise. It’s got a lot of things to do, tons of stuff for kids and very relaxing for adults. It’s got a massive pool and is right on the beach. It’s only about 30 min from San Juan and close to a lot of other activity sports out that way.

  Good & Some improvements

  Average Experience With Some Frustrating Issues | October 4–10 I stayed at this resort from October 4 through October 10, and overall, I would describe my experience as average. There were several things I genuinely enjoyed, but a few frustrating issues affected my stay and are worth addressing, especially considering the resort fees and my long-standing positive experiences with Hyatt over the past five years. My biggest concerns were the lack of transparent pricing and the poor parking arrangements on the night of October 9. Areas That Need Improvement 1. Lack of Pricing Transparency One of my biggest concerns was how expensive everything was throughout the resort. At the buffet, for example, we were encouraged to go in and enjoy the food without being clearly informed of the price beforehand. The selection was excellent, and I genuinely enjoyed the meal, but receiving a bill of $110 without having been properly informed of the cost beforehand was frustrating. I understand that resorts can charge premium prices, but guests should not have to guess what they will be paying. Clear, visible pricing should be standard, especially for dining experiences that can result in a significant bill. The food was good, but the lack of transparency took away from the experience. 2. Extremely Frustrating Parking Situation on October 9 The parking situation on the night of October 9 was by far the most frustrating part of my stay. Apparently, a special event was taking place, and the event seemed to take priority over the guests already staying at the resort. Throughout the week, parking had been plentiful, but suddenly, in the pouring rain, we were unable to find a convenient parking space because the available lot had become completely full. I contacted customer service and asked about parking in an area where I noticed other vehicles were parked. I was told that I was not allowed to park there, which I understood. However, what disappointed me was the lack of an alternative solution. There appeared to be spaces available in the valet area, yet no reasonable accommodation was offered to resort guests who were struggling to find parking. Considering that guests pay to stay at the resort, along with a daily resort fee of more than $32, I expected better planning and consideration for those already on the property. The solution offered by customer service was to park in another lot approximately a mile from our room, with the suggestion that we walk to the hotel lobby to arrange transportation back to our room. This was unnecessarily complicated and inconvenient, particularly in the pouring rain. The situation became even more frustrating when we had to walk back to our vehicle with our luggage to load everything into the car. We ended up getting soaked, and the entire process was far more difficult than it needed to be. If the resort planned to host a special event that would significantly affect guest parking, there should have been advance notice, clearly designated event parking, or a plan to ensure overnight guests still had convenient access to parking. At the very least, customer service should have had a practical solution ready. Guests who are paying to stay at the resort should not be left struggling with parking because of an event they had no control over. This experience was particularly disappointing because convenience and comfort are part of what I expect when booking a resort. What I Enjoyed Despite these issues, there were several highlights during my stay. * Staff hospitality: Aside from my customer service experience regarding parking, the staff members I interacted with were friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. * Kayaking and paddleboarding: These activities were a great addition to the stay and made for an enjoyable experience. * The beach: The water was calm and relaxing, making it a nice place to unwind. While it is not particularly close to snorkeling locations, the beach itself was enjoyable. * The pool: The pool was exceptionally large, and the swim-up bar was a great feature. * Food quality: Aside from the high prices and lack of upfront pricing, the food was delicious and offered a good selection. However, there are more affordable and authentic food options just a mile away, which makes the resort’s dining prices harder to justify. * Property and accommodations: I really enjoyed the overall appearance and condition of the hotel. The property itself was attractive and contributed positively to the experience. Final Thoughts Ultimately, I enjoyed parts of my stay, but the experience fell short in a few important areas. Pricing transparency and guest parking management need serious improvement. The parking incident was especially disappointing because it created unnecessary stress, inconvenience, and discomfort during what should have been a relaxing vacation. I have been staying with Hyatt properties for the past five years and have generally had great experiences, which is why these issues stood out to me. I understand that special events happen and that resort dining can be expensive, but better communication, thoughtful planning, and reasonable solutions would have made a significant difference. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and considers improvements that prioritize the comfort and convenience of resort guests. There is a lot to like about this property, but these issues should be addressed to ensure future guests receive the experience they expect when booking a resort.
