The hotel lobby and elevators are very elegant and magical and match what I would expect from a Mid-town Manhattan hotel. The initial experience is very pleasant and welcoming. Considering the hustle and bustle of the location, the calm and inviting doorman/security is very much appreciated. The room was clean and very comfortable. The City View room was worth the extra $25/night. great view onto 42nd Avenue. The hotel is large and the slow customer service reflects that, it takes a while to get a response and to receive requested items. But overall, a very pleasant experience. l would stay here again.

This hotel is in an excellent location with very large rooms for a NYC hotel. However, it is showing it's age. Bathrooms need a remodel, lobby couches not the easiest to get in and out of for older folks. However, if you need to go to a wedding at Cipriani's, or use the Grand Central subway for anything, the location cannot be beat. The staff was excellent! Everyone went out of their way to be helpful including the housekeeping staff. Just don't expect this Hyatt to be the most luxurious . We enjoyed our stay in spite of the wear and tear.

Great location and ok rooms
It has an excellent location located nearby to Times Square and next to a big subway station. The only problems were no microwave at all. Plumbing kept my wife up at night and outside in the subway station there was a police shooting that I had to run from. There is a nearly $45 a night destination fee, but they give you $15 a day for their market.

Great location
The hotel has a great location. It’s connected to Grand Central Station. The rooms are large for NYC. However the bathroom was very outdated and run down, could definitely use an overhaul. Our room was directly across from the elevator which would ding every time it stopped at the floor.
