Disappointing
The staff at this hotel were friendly and very helpful. And the location is closed to the beach. Now with that being said, this property is a big damper on the Hyatt brand. There is a lot of age in the building, it smells like mold and mildew and there looks like a lack of maintenance on the walls and corners of the room and of the furniture. Lighting is a weird fluorescent lighting. This is also a very basic amenity hotel. Practically all the amenities including gym and beach access chairs are borrowed from the hotel across the street. Very stingy with the toiletries in the room. And they only give one thin set of towels. Off brand keurig is worse than work coffee machines.

Beware of extra holds and rude staff.
Julie (front desk) is very rude and would not let me finish talking. I had trouble with the check-in because they held on my cc more than it was suppposed to. A manager (Frank?) explained and admitted they charge more and would adjust the total hold for $300 aprox. Now he's free today and Julie says that I need to wait until check out on friday for the adjustment, without letting me to finish talking. Hotel is nice but some staff really need to improve.

Best front desk agent
The best part of this hotel is JAKE and he looks all of us personally this is why we like this property very much like a home I never saw such a dedicated hard working honest staff ever in my life. All credit goes to JAKE. Checking out tomorrow 706.

Nice Little Hotel with Awesome Service
Dorian was very welcoming at the Front Desk. But for the clogged shower drain and non replenishment of the Shower and Bath Gel. This was a gem of the hotel in the heart of South Beach. The Room was large enough with a side view of the Ocean.

Great hotel customer service needs some tweaking
I reserved the ocean view King for a birthday trip. Upon our arrival there was a $300+ additional fee. Which I wasn’t made aware of until check in. I notified the employees there that this needs to be communicated to the 3rd party sites like Expedia and Priceline. We saw partial views of the ocean and felt distant from the water. We weren’t told the cut off times for meals so we missed out on dinner. Overall it was close to a lot of shops, the pool was nice, a lot of seating areas to enjoy the weather, housekeeping was great, the windows and shower were great items in the room! Overall for the price it was a good stay.
