Another pleasant visit to this property.
Kingsley elevated the front desk experience. Professional, efficient, friendly. Seems like he would fit right in at the front desk of a five-star hotel. Restaurant and breakfast food was all good. Barkeep was friendly. Did not catch her name. Place looks fresh. Must have recently done some remodeling.

Great location and Clean
This hotel is located around the corner from the airport. The first night I believe a workshop or gathering was happening on the main floor. Due to the layout of the building, I can hear everything while on the 8th floor. The noise is the only reason I am not giving it 5 stars. Overall, very clean and friendly staff.

Great Staff, Rooms not clean
We stayed at this Marriott for 2 nights as it served as a midpoint to our 2 meeting locations. First, I am giving this hotel 3 stars because of the staff. They were great. The Good: Staff Mr. Keenan and the housekeeping supervisor (I didn’t catch her name) were so kind and helpful. The housekeeping supervisor saw me check my luggage for an item I thought I had left behind. She asked me for my room number and went to double check just in case . She found an item that I had missed and brought it down to me in the lobby. Mr. Keenan helped me with issues with my room (see comments below) and was our shuttle driver to airport. He remembered our conversation and inquired about our meetings and stay in Houston. Really nice southern hospitality. The Bad: When I checked into my room, the bathroom floor was dirty and it seemed as the rest of the room was not cleaned properly. I found red and other dirt spots on the bathroom floor and dirty carpet. When I called for housekeeping, I was told there was none for the evening. Mr. Kennan came upstairs and tried to clean the spot. After some elbow grease, he and I realized it may have been drops of blood 😳. Don’t ask. He cleaned as much as he could and I told him he should stop cleaning and I will request another room. The front desk quickly moved me. and was apologetic. The next room was cleaner (not sure by how much as there were items left behind on nightstand by previous guest. Neither of the rooms had foot towels. (A foot towel was provided my 2nd night). There was no shower cap and when I asked for slippers (didn’t want to walk barefoot on floor) , they did not have any to provide for guests. There was also no water or drinks (other than coffee maker) for purchase in the room refrigerator. I did not have high expectations for an airport hotel but this is the Marriott. It would have been nice if they just provided the basics one would expect from a Marriott hotel. But the real issue is the cleanliness of the rooms and that really needs to be seriously addressed.

No wake up call received.
This is a very nice hotel. That's why it surprised me that neither my coworker nor I received our wake-up calls. Ultimately, a nice hotel comes down to details and service. This is where they can do better. The bed is fantastic. Mini fridge, coffee maker in room.

Served Its Purpose, Kind Of
Lifetime Titaniums - so we have a few hotels to compare it to. We did two nights, one on each end of our trip. The area is grim; there is no where to walk to. and some ladies of the night hanging nearby. When we checked in at 4:00PM, there was no food available or even a drink (except for gummy bears and water in the lounge) - the lobby bar was not open (first time ever encountering a full service hotel not having food/drink availaable). The food, once they opened, was pretty bad, the service apathetic and the wine was $27 for a glass (9 oz I think) - ridiculous! The floor of the lobby restaurant was pretty dirty and the coffee cups that had been left on the shelving were still there in the morning. First night they gave us a connecting room - the occupants arrived at 2:00 AM and let's just say proceeded to get it on with all sorts of hollering etc going on; it was really awful. When we checked in the second time, we told them no connecting rooms - no problem they said, we got to the room and it was connecting. The room itself was large, not bad, old school bathroom. The shuttle runs on a schedule on the half hour, we were the first people down there at 5:15AM but an entire airline crew showed up minutes before departure and they were accommodated first; we got the last two seats -thank goodness. When we asked the driver about it, he said he would have had to take them and then come back if there were others, which meant people (like us) would have possibly missed their check in time and/or their flight. The only saving grace was the check in guy, I think it was Lonnie, (he had long hair in braids). He was very friendly and super helpful in getting us into another room and remembering us from the first check in and that we like gummy bears - give this guy a promotion. We would not stay again!
