2 hour check in
waited about 2 hours to check in on a Tuesday. the line was literally out the casino doors. they had 1 person to handle issues, everything else was automated check in machines. if you had issues with the machines as i assume many did then you have to stand in another line to be able to speak with the 1 person they had. everyone was complaining and it fell on deaf ears they just dont care. will NOT B staying here again. Spend the extra few dollars and stay where you are appreciated and welcomed because its not here

No thanks.
The room wasn’t the cleanest, there were marks on the walls. But the bed was comfy and the bathroom is spacious. However, the walls are thinner than paper. We could hear our neighbors having conversations, playing music, slamming the doors. Multiple nights we were woken up. The room door also has a space underneath it to where you can see people walking by and hear whatever is going on in the hallway.

Change is not always for the better
I definitely was not completely happy with all the changes at Horseshoe Las Vegas. It never was a top-notch casino, but I feel that getting rid of the lounge and a moderately priced restaurant will ultimately hurt them. It certainly does not leave a good impression on me. Would I go back there? Right now, I really don’t know. The rooms are still the same, and it remains in a great location. But change for the sake of change never sits right with me. I definitely was not impressed with their decision to get rid of clock radios. Not everyone uses a cell phone. Also, what's with the huge video arcade? This is not Disneyland.

Moths!
When we first arrived I pulled back the curtains and there were moths everywhere, the door to the small balcony would not close thus moths, went to grab another pillow out of the closet and the pillow did not have a cover on it, the washroom was clean and the carpeting in the room was dusty, the hallway carpets are disgusting, looked like they were never cleaned in months the casino is boring, not many machines, spent most of our time at Ellis island, for cheaper food and good drink service. No drink service whatsover at the Tropicana.

CHECK-IN NOT GOOD!
Total room cost is very good at the Horseshoe, by why, why, WHY must we all get RIPPED OFF by needing to pay an extra $40. to check in before 3:00pm?? This extra charge results in most folk arriving to WAIT until 3.... Which causes the LONGEST line in check-in History!! Between 3pm to 7pm more people are IN LINE than are in the rest of the casino! Very few people are gambling... this is a LOSE/LOSE situation for customers and the hotel! Unless you plan on checking in after 8pm on the day of your arrival...DO NOT STAY AT THE HORSESHOE!
