    EXCELLENT STAY

    I have been to Santiago many times as this is where my family is from. I have always heard great things about this hotel but I usually stay with family and did not have a need for a hotel. This time I decided to try something different and booked this hotel last minute. I was not sure what to expect as there doesn't seem to be many nice or high end hotels in this area. I am so glad we booked it! the hotel itself is beautiful and clean. The pool area is beautiful on the rooftop. The rooms were large and updated. All the staff was very nice and accommodating. I had a small issue upon check-in since I booked the room online but Ervin Francisco was awesome at taking care of everything and making sure we were happy. He went above and beyond and I made sure to write his name down so I wouldn't forget. Customer service is big for me and he really did his best for us. Much appreciated! Highly recommend this hotel if you are in the area.

    In desperate need of updating

    I stay in this hotel regularly when I’m Santiago because of its proximity to my family in the city. However, this hotel is in desperate need of updating. The rooms are dark and dingy and it’s not an enjoyable stay. The breakfast is also limited and lacking options. A shower always creates a mess and there should be two sinks. The bed is somewhat comfortable and the staff is nice but that doesn’t make me want to go back. Im in search of alternate options but would very much like the hotel to change so I can continue staying there.

    Always is good to go back

    This was my 4th time staying in this hotel, and as always, I had a great experience. My favorite part of this place is the staff. Thanks Amable, Aimee, Luis and Pedro at the buffet and the rest of them. You guys make the place much better than what already it is. My only complaint/ suggestion it is about the casino, it is annoying that there are a lot of locals holding all the machines at the same time the play in other, and when you ask is the machines are occupied, because the hold them even with a bottle of water they are very rude and from the casino staff nobody those anything.

    Awesome hotel staff!

    Staying in Santiago for business we stayed here for a week. The hotel staff was amazing, friendly, helpful , and the maid service was impeccable! After a long day at work it was so cool to hang out at the pool area and bar. The views from up there were amazing. Highly recommend staying here if your in Santiago! Also won money in their Casino !!

    Abrupt changes. Find somewhere else to stay

    I’ve been staying monthly at this hotel for the past 10 years for business. The company I work for is quite large, and I have many coworkers whom also have been staying weekly or monthly for 10 years, if not much longer. Needless to say, we have gotten to know the workers over time, and up until recently, they’ve all been really knowledgeable, helpful and nice. Unfortunately, much has changed since my last visit (5/16, for 2 days & nights), me and my coworkers were very abruptly and rudely advised that we could no longer have guests over unless they paid for access to the hotel. Myself and many of my coworkers have family and friends who come by to have lunch or dinner with us at the hotels restaurant, a tab that we always take care of. Whatever is consumed is always paid for, as we are not looking for handouts. To pay what’s basically an “entrance fee” is despicable. You would expect this from an all inclusive resort, wherein meals and beverages (including alcohol) is covered. Were this an all inclusive, I’d be more than happy to pay for my guests entrance fee, but it is not. It seems Hodelpa Gran Almirante is trying to recoup all the money that they may have lost at the beginning of the pandemic. It’s absurd to treat your paying guests in such a way. I spoke to one of the front desk managers that I’ve known for a few years and the overall attitude I was given was “sorry, not sorry”.
