Nov 07, 2026Excellent Customer Service from Melissa at Front Desk
I want to give a 5-Star shout out to Melissa at the front desk. I called the hotel because of an error in my reservation which would have resulted in my having to leave the hotel a day before my conference was finished (a significant hardship). Melissa instantly (and quite pleasantly) took ownership of the situation added the additional night to my reservation and even made sure I received the group rate for my conference for the extra night. Melissa's efforts relieved a great deal of stress and was most appreciated.

Great customer service
Want to make a shout out to Antonio R. in engineering department for going above and beyond, great customer service even with something outside his responsibilities. He walked me through the hotel to find a difficult (for me to find) area, also to GP at the heath club - shout out for being so helpful also. Thank you!

Beware, this place will steal your money with the stay and cruise package. Called the hotels reservations desk in July to reserve a non refundable stay and cruise package for Oct which I was told covered up to 7 days parking. In fact, called them twice to confirm the details as I wanted to ensure the stay and parking was covered under this package as the price was somewhat higher than any of the surrounding hotels but since it already included the 7 days parking it was in line with what I would have paid separately. Fast forward to recent check in at hotel, the front desk informed me there would be an additional $150 for parking and was not included with very expensive rate that I had already paid back in July. Additionally, I’m now seeing the hotel actually charged my credit $200 which includes a $30 “Urban Destination Fee”, WTH is this? This place will rip you off, beware. I can absolutely say without a doubt I will not stay at this property again. In fact, I’m now switching my preferred hotel brand of choice when traveling for business along with cancelling 9 nights already reserved for future trips. 110% disappointed in Hilton and the fact they will not stand behind their package deals and steal your money when given the chance. So long Hilton, you band of thieves.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Hospitality & True Care — Thank You, Erica!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Erica Randall, the Assistant Director of Front Office Operations at Hilton New Orleans Riverside. I was heartbroken that I couldn’t be there in person for my husband’s birthday, as I don’t fly in until tomorrow. Wanting to make sure he felt loved and celebrated even in my absence, I reached out to the hotel and Erica stepped in and made pure magic happen. She went above and beyond to arrange thoughtful birthday decorations and special treats in his room, turning what could have been a lonely arrival into an unforgettable celebration. Hearing the sheer joy and surprise in his voice made my entire day. Erica exemplifies world-class customer service and genuine hospitality. She didn't just fulfill a request; she put real care and heart into making my husband feel special when I couldn’t be by his side. Hilton has an absolute gem in Erica, and we are beyond grateful. We can’t wait to thank her in person when I arrive!
