The hotel is a taste of the past. The rooms are clean but dated. The furniture needs to be touched up as they have scratches on them and are antiques. Would be really nice if touch up scratches. The room and view is great. Nice view of mountain and lake. Bed is very comfy and room has two bathrooms. The casino does not payoff very well and no servers with free drinks. If I am going to lose my money I expect free drinks. We went next door to Ceasars and the slots pay off and free drinks. We ate at Brew Brothers and food is great, reasonable prices and great service.

Oct 12, 2026Don't pay to stay. Ran down and charges for everything
Well. I guess I should be grateful for a " comp" room. But.. when we booked ( we are platinum, use to be Diamond) we explained we would have to be able to check in as promised (1 PM) because we were traveling with medication that had to be refrigerated. I was assured we would. We got there and the first thing they toured was to give us a " nicer" room with a lake view for 169$ more??? No, I told them. So then he said " well we have nothing ready yet". I was furious. First the rooms are old and extremely outdated, and were only staying in our way to a wedding. What a lousy ploy. As a Platinum member I was totally disappointed in this tactic as no one should have this pulled on them. Then after 20 minutes he went and talked to his manager and guess what! They had a room they could let us in immediately. The casino was dead. The parking garage was empty. I doubt they had nothing available in the beginning Room is so worn it's sad. Shower sprayed all over the place. Hardly any tables in the casino were open the whole Tahoe experience is nothing like it use to be. The whole area looked old and worn. Very sad. Nothing but the ridiculous cartoon slot machines. All the fun older gaming is gone. To play a penny machine you have to bet 5$ and higher for one spin to win anything of value. Harrahs use to have so much to offer. It's a zero now. Went through Jackpot on our way here and I got free m al comps, room comps and free slot play. Not even a platinum. Got here and got Zero other than the run down room. Unfortunately all of the strip was dingy and empty.

Ya know cant beat a premium comped room on a friay night! We had a beautiful time. The room had two bathrooms and a lake view. Everything was premium just like they said it would be. Hot water was hot immediately. We will be back.

It's close to everything, rooms were big, with 2 full baths, very clean. I will certainly book this hotel again !

Tough Review - Great Location
We came with some friends and Tahoe is beautiful! The hotel is interesting because the rooms were large, clean and comfortable but outdated and needs a refresh. Staff was great. The casino is NOT smoke free and I am really sensitive to smoke so that made it uncomfortable. Overall a pretty good stay.
