Quite disappointed in this property. It certainly needs a remodeling/ renovation. Woke up to a bed full of ants (no crumbs in bed, no open food, no open windows or screens). Pretty disgusting. Wouldn’t be a bad idea to let travelers know there are no tv’s..but that’s ultimately on me. Just a very unpleasant evening.

Beautiful views, spacious and comfortable rooms, and plenty of open spaces to relax and enjoy. Our toddler absolutely loved the pool and had a wonderful time exploring the property. We really enjoyed our stay!

What an outstanding relaxing experience. The resort exemplifies the Aloha spirit. The best staff in my experience at any resort in Hawaii and I’ve been to many.

Hawaiian Disaster
The Hana Maui Resort a HUGE disappointment and does NOT give their clients 4 Star treatment as advertised. I definitely would not go here again under this inefficient management. Definitely do NOT put on your travel list!! We originally came to the Hana resort when I proposed to my wife here 23 years ago and have traveled here many times over the years. This trip was a Birthday trip for my wife, and resort was well aware of occasion. Upon arrival at Hana Airport, there was no one there to pick us up, did not receive a lei greeting, which we had come to expect in the past when it was managed by Travaasa. So had to call the hotel to send the driver, even though, again this had been arranged weeks before. We arrived at resort at 2 pm after waiting at airport and our room was not available. We asked where we might be able to change our clothing since we had traveled 11 hours prior and they said just use the bathroom down the hall. They wanted us to carry all of our luggage ourselves and would not give us a time as to when the room would be available. This type of service deplorable for what it costs to stay here. We finally were allowed in after 4 pm. I did find 3 dead cockroaches in the room that quickly scooped up and flushed before my wife could see, but room dusky and smelled. The infinity pool is always the star of the show and didn't disappoint. A bright spot was Chelsea at the pool bar, who was always busy but always took care of her clients. During our 4 day stay a myriad of issues, from understaffed housekeeping, kitchen staff, bellman, all of the departments that make a resort run efficiently. Inconsistency across the board. From kitchen orders to no housekeeping, not even getting our trash taken out of our room without multiple calls On our 2nd to last day we were told by airline that our flight from Hana was going to be delayed by 1.5 hours. On the day of our departure, which was my wife's actual Birthday, we had two flights booked out of Kahalui to Kauai. We were dropped off at Hana Airport by staff at 1: 45 for a 2:15 flight which we had been told by airline delayed by at least a couple of hours but was ASSURED by the staff at the resort this was not the case. Again not a macadamia nut chocolate or anything to celebrate the birthday, not even a cold bottle of water. We proceeded to wait at the airport for another 3 hours. We were without access to a bathroom or even water while we sat in the heat with no one around!! We missed both flights and got stuck on the late flight from Kahalui. We were so deflated by the days events , that we cancelled our Kauai trip and wound up staying in Honolulu, and coming home a week early. A total disaster that could have been avoided had Hana Maui Resort truly run as a 4 Star resort and it definitely is not! I cannot believe that this Hotel makes any top rated list, especially by such high end media companies such as Conde Nast. It really makes me rethink the legitimacy of some of these media company reviews. I will NOT come back, as long as this resort is being run into the ground by the Hyatt management.

Amazing Place
We absolutely loved the resort. Very tranquil vibe and experience. Staff was excellent too. I can’t wait to return some day. If you can stay in the bungalows, I highly recommend it!
