Mar 24, 2026Pleasant and well‑located hotel near Waterloo Station
We stayed at Hampton by Hilton Waterloo during a trip in May and were very pleased with our stay. The hotel is just a stone’s throw from Waterloo Station, which provides easy access to central London. Even though the area might look slightly outside the city centre on a map, the distance felt short and convenient in practice. The breakfast buffet was one of the highlights of the trip — delicious, generous, and with plenty to choose from. And the freshly made waffles definitely deserve a special mention! At certain times it could get a bit crowded, but overall the breakfast experience was very positive. The hotel is fairly tall, and the rooms on the higher floors offer lovely views, including of the London Eye, which added something extra to the stay. All in all, Hampton by Hilton Waterloo is a comfortable and friendly hotel with a great location, tasty breakfast, and impressive views. A solid choice for exploring London.

Well located comfortable hotel
I stayed just the one night in a queen sized room, as I was attending a performance at the Old Vic, and this hotel seemed to be the most conveniently located, a short distance from the the theatre. The reception staff were welcoming, and the room very comfortable, and quiet. The room was a little chilly even when I turned the fan off, and I didn’t manage to adjust the temperature, but thankfully there was a plug in radiator which helped. The bed was very comfortable, and I slept very well. Breakfast was included and had a good range of food, though with it being a buffet the hot food was just warm rather than piping hot, but the selection of hot and cold items was good. Service was busy, but I had no problem finding a table. Overall the hotel met my needs, and is well located for theatre, public transport and sightseeing.

Nice strategic hotel in London
We stayed here because it was walking distance to south bank where our son had his graduation ceremony. The rooms were spacious. It is near the waterloo station. Many eateries and shops around.

We usually do not write reviews but our experience at your hotel warranted a response. We came to London to see our 11 year old grandson in 'Oliver' and stayed at your hotel which is in a great location near Waterloo station. The reception staff were very welcoming and Samuel should have a special mention. Our room was warm, very clean and larger than we expected. There were plenty of towels and 2 pillows each, however we asked for an extra pillow and two were delivered to our room very quickly. There was enough tea and coffee for our one night stay. We were on the eighth floor but although the hotel was very full the lifts came quickly. We were greeted for breakfast which was included in our stay. The buffet included hot and cold foods and catered for most needs. Ena noticed my wife taking photos for our grandson and even offered to show her around. All the restaurant staff were attentive although busy cleaning tables and replenishing the food. All in all we found your hotel very pleasing and if we come to London in the future we will most certainly stay we you again.
