Quick Fix
We were looking for a quick fix and found it. Away from all the hustle and bustle of PV. Great for a week but would get a little repetitious after a while. Nice little beach but unusable when the waves are BIG. Water was beautiful almost caribbean like. No sun until noon and even then hard to find a spot to enjoy it. Good entertainment in the evening to appeal to every taste until around 11 pm and then if you want an after hours bar underground on the north end of the resort. Quiet and relaxing especially in the mornings but gets a little loud and crowded on the weekends. Food was quite good in all the restaurants and a la cartes with no reservations required. Room service was good and something for everyone. All rooms come with balconies and have awesome views and are all well appointed with hair dryer iron and ironing board big screen TV but with only 2 channels in English 30 and 36 coffee maker and safe. Beds and pillows are some of the best we've ever slept on in Mexico and that's saying a lot because this was our 27th trip. All in all we would recommend this resort to anyone who is looking for a quick fix and some R&R but if you are a sun seeker we would recommend elsewhere. Thank you to all the staff and everyone who worked so hard to make our stay memorable.

Beautiful beach, mostly rude staff.
If you do not speak Spanish, I would stay away from this hotel. You will be continually ignored and not treated as well as the Spanish speaking guests. This is with the exception of a few staff (Gonazlo - Italian restaurant, Jesus - bar tender, Max - bell boy). The beach is beautiful, best we saw in PV. Nighttime entertainment is also great. Buffet and snack bar is cold and disgusting.

Honeymoon vacation
Our original trip was cancelled because of the airlines canceling our flights. We were able to rebook our stay through the hotel and we are glad they were able to as it was for our honeymoon. We had the best time at this resort. We picked it to be a little further away from town and have a private beach. They had fun activities throughout the day and have wonderful staff who was friendly and always put a smile on our faces. They have great people working there. We can't wait to come back. My only complaint is that they need a little more dancing at night!

Mediocre experience at a luxury cost
Restaurants, buffet, bars - disappointing: Foods cold, flavourless fruit despite being local Restaurant a la carte plates not as described on menu, many foods extremely salty. Juices from concentrate (lime juice concentrate for a margarita at a "luxury resort" in Mexico? really? - only one choice for breakfast --- the buffet. Restaurants open for supper only - room service arrived once and completely missed another, and we were limited to ONE "free" room service per day and were not permitted to take any food to our rooms ourselves It was a constant struggle to get bottled water (we heard from staff that tap water is not potable, but there was ZERO advice upon check in nor in the rooms regarding potable water) - we are not big drinkers, however a choice of more than DosXX would have been appreciated. The classic margarita with real lime juice is non existent, anywhere. We (3 adults) went out of the resort to eat and drink because the on site experience was poor, so disappointing. Room (suite) was clean, comfortable, spacious, beds firm. Staff generally friendly, some argumentative (ie when asked for coffee cream, argued that I should use evaporated milk, bartenders "put out" when asked for real lime. Kevin at front desk flippant and dismissive when I requested a bathroom repair, to the point of being dishonest, also threw colleagues under the bus. Others did the best they could. Until the day of checkout, we could not find anyone with any authority to resolve any concerns. The ENTIRE property was without fresh water for at least half the day on Sunday. No water to flush toilets, no water to shower or wash, no water for staff to wash hands, no water to wash dishes. Toilets were to the brim full, housekeeping women were apologetic. There was NO advice from a manager or the front desk. We went to town to another property to shower. A notice was briefly put up that guests would receive a refund of the day's rate, but when I asked about it, it was denied. Staff was bucketing water out of the decor pools for what? flush clogged toilets? wash dishes? During the week, we watched bar staff rinse plastic poolside glasses in a table bussing bin of water and simply put them back into service. Buffet plates were regularly greasy. With food hygiene like this, it is no wonder 2 of our friends, who spent their entire stay on property, got travelers diarrhea. Cafe Sol, an espresso bar serving snacks, sweat breads, hard and soft icecream: only open some hours, staff sweet, no icecream before 2 p.m. (we asked at 1:55) WiFi is virtually useless in the rooms; the resort app with which one orders room service, housekeeping, etc. is pretty useless without WiFi. We bought a week in a luxury all-inclusive resort, paid the price, and expected quality food, lodging and service. This hotel is not worth the money, and it certainly wasn't a relaxing experience. The beach is nice.
