Lovely resort, terrible food.
This is a very pretty resort, comfortable, clean, well-maintained, well-located, pretty, with very courteous staff. However, the food was universally awful. In addition, we did not appreciate having to get up early just to claim a lounge chair.

Save your money
This resort is in serious need of an upgrade to their plumbing, fixtures and showers, and mattress replacement. You will more than likely experience cold food on all the buffets. Even eating in the appointed restaurants resulted in barely warm food. The best food we had was in the Bikini Bar. Staff is very friendly, but the language barrier was difficult to navigate. There are far better resorts on the island with better food and amenities, all for roughly the same price.

Worst All inclusive we have ever had :(
If you don't care for the service, or the variety of food, or the room, or the cocktails,or the entertainment then this is the place for you. Service- it is not the workers' fault, but they are very short staffed. Checking in took 40 minutes. Your wanna drink from the bar? Most of the times there's just one bartender( 2 if you're lucky) tending to 10,15 people. And they usually runn out of bananas or mint by mid-day so wake up early if you want cocktails based on that. You wanna get in the buffet? Wait time at least 10 minutes. For a buffet? Really? Restaurants- very limited variety of food in all 4 restaurants. Not even fries or bacon in the morning. You might get scrambled eggs if you are lucky. Couples times I even managed to get coffee served to me. Hurray! Also half the food you could get there is cold. The room is standard- 2 beds and a bathroom- you might have issues opening your front door or your bathroom door, but maybe I am too spoiled when it comes to doors. The entertainment is not much- most of the times we were bored at the pool. By the way, supposedly we were VIP which should mean free cabanas, but for one of the days were charged 30$ for one. If you are adventurous try walking outside your room past 10pm- they turn the lights off, so if you fall into the bushes that's on you. If you like being asked numerous times a day to visit a timeshare talk just hang out in the lobby- you will not be disappointed. This was also the first time in my life I had to wait 15 minutes in life to check out. I've been in Mexico to at least 5 different cities in at least 10 different hotels and this is the only time I couldn't wait for my vacation to be over. At checkout we were not even asked how we enjoyed our stay. Because the front desk girl was overwhelmed with people checking out and it was just matter of fact so didn’t even thank us for coming or have a good day, to show they appreciated us coming.

Luxury resort?
Not sure what makes this 4 star or a luxury resort. The double garden view room with a balcony was nice. Having said that it was extremely noisy - with a three floor open hallway that echoed all the way from the lobby/courtyard. Not peaceful. No microwave and no cream/milk or coffee whitener. It was nice to have the option of room service. The resort was clean. One of the pools was always a bit messy with huge leaves having fallen. The “adult only pool” rule at the infinite pool was NOT enforced. Parents brought their children with them and no one batted an eye. A spectacular view of the Sea and enormous cruise ships. Swim up bars at all three pools. The beach is barely. The food was so so. Buffet had same offerings every day with the exception of a “theme.” I think one dish was different in that case. Service was always stellar! Cafe Sole is an amazing place for quick breakfast and lunch options. Best coffee at the resort. Best staff as well. It was our go to.
