Good stay but …
We stayed at Grand Palladium Palace hotel for 12 nights in November. Hotel grounds are immaculate, very green , well maintained and huge . Beach very nice , cleaned every day . Enough sun loungers on the beach , but they could be replaced for new ones as seems really worn out . Swimming pools great , large , again enough sun loungers so you don’t need to get up at 6 am to reserve. Big plus for Secret adults only pool , very nice and open till midnight , only a shame they don’t play any club music later in the evenings around this pool as this could be a great pool party :) but anyway good . Alcohol at the bars good quality, Aperol , Bacardi Rum , Jack Daniels etc , best cocktails you can get in lobby bars , quick and simple ones at pool bars . Entertainment at the resort was average ,although Fire show was really good . Amphitheater was extremely dated , unpleasant to spend time there , I felt sorry for talented artists needing to perform on this very old and dirty looking stage . This need an upgrade asap . Entertaiment at the pool / beach was non existent, quiet not much happening around the pools , maybe aqua aerobic , but nothing much engaging. Poor animation team , poor information about any activities . Food - biggest dissapointment of our stay , buffet restaurants weren’t aesthetically pleasing to have your dinner there . Food quality very poor , the cheapest vegetables , fruits , cheapest ham ,meats either deep fried , reheated or not grilled properly , not many healthy options, not many fish for lunch or dinner .Last time we experienced such poor quality of food at the buffet restaurant few years ago in avarage hotel in Egypt :/ No themed nights , most of the nights we had same food to choose from . Al’a carte restaurants again dissapointment , El Dorado , Sumptori ,La Paisana , La Lola -food either not cooked properly or poor table service , rushed atmosphere . In our opinion Bamboo Asian restaurant was very good , nice starters and great Pad Thai , we went there twice ! Also surprisingly Indian restaurant was great both for atmosphere, decor and food . Surprisingly as living in UK and having so many Indian restaurants around , I didn’t expect as Punta Cana will offer great Indian culinary experience. Thank you . Chic Cabaret - best experience of our stay . Well worth paying extra money ! Best performances I ever seen on holidays accompanied by great food and drinks . Wow I will remember this for a long time !!! In general - We liked the hotel , but food quality at the buffets and service should definitely be improved , animation team better trained or replaced and some areas of the hotel really need refurbishing . I hope the changes will be implemented as this could be a great hotel . Overall we had a nice time .

It was just a dream…
We fell in love in Punta cana. I have no negative comments. I see supervisors all around taking care and training staff to give their best. We spent much time on the beach…speachless. Beside, we eat on each and every restaurant (+5 pounds per person). Last but not least we spent much relaxing time at the bar closest to lobby - Cuyacan lobby bar - and this took our hearts. We want to came back to this staff!!! Julio - you my amigo 4 life!!! Jose, Alex, great staff. Amazing senioritas 🥰. We want to come back!!!

Rhum is worth the trip ;-)
Room is very close to the ocean. Very clean. Small number of rooms per block. Very easy walk to hotel lobby and restaurants. Entertainment was ok in the evening. Dominican rhum is excellent. Worth asking for a premium one. Very good coffee always available in the lobby.

Good, bad and ugly
This place is the good, the bad and the ugly. The resort is well located with good access to everything we needed. The service was either horrendous or fantastic. We had great service in the Mexican restaurant after receiving rock hard enchiladas with dry chicken in it. Most mornings in the buffet restaurant for Breakfast we were largely ignored. Didn't get water or coffee. At the Poseidon buffet asked for water multiple times and did not receive it. The pool bar where Fernando worked was always served well and expediently. The room - the pillows are not great. My safe didn't work and my Aircon didn't go below 21 degrees and my fridge didn't cool anything. Having to get your phone out for every bar and restaurant was frustrating. Overall nice location service is severely lacking and things going wrong lots.
