Don’t waste your money for garbage food
We stayed recently at Grand Palladium White Sand Resort which is part of Grand Palladium Colonial and Kantenah. The design and nature of this resort is beautiful. The front desk people are amiable and polite. They will make your check in and out smooth and will help with any inconvenience that appear during your stay. Unfortunately the food is terrible. At the buffet everyday the same food and not a lot of choices. The taste is terrible, feels like frozen produces and not really fresh. Don’t have at all baby food, that was very disappointed. Our baby got sick after this vacation because the food. Sometime in the morning at the buffet you can find the staff at the door saying that they don’t have space for you and you have to go to different buffet. That is very inconvenient and may affect your mood from the morning. Everywhere you can not enter at the restaurant/buffet until they will not sit you, that is also not the best thing. The table you have to choose not where is given. At the end is your vacation and you came to relax not to stay eating around the raccoons. In the outside buffet you can find a lot of raccoons coming inside. The resort has a lot of A la Carte restaurants, that’s good that you can have different dinner style every evening and not enjoy the same food at the buffet. We really recommend the Italian and Spanish restaurant. At the Italian restaurant you will find amazing staff and great taste of food that is missed in this resort. A terrible experience we had at Japanese restaurant, don’t recommend at all. They are interested only in your tips but the staff forgot about the courteousness of the job. Brazilian restaurant is nice but the staff have to learn how to behave with the clients. They are tired and make the monkey face when you ask to repeat the menu. For the drink be prepared to have just few choices. We enjoyed the best evening shows. The team is amazing and very professional. Very often towels are not enough… Rooms are clean but not super clean.. It’s a 3* resort not 5* as they would like to be. Lots of work to have 5* Good luck!!!
It was a beautiful week. It was the first time at Riviera Maya and i have very appreciate my trip. The food was very good, the show was wonderfull and the dancers extraordinary. All the resort was a very good place for the vacation.
Girls trip good spot
Great grounds with lots of options to explore. Shows and entertainment throughout the place. Spa was wonderful. Great Swedish message, hydrotherapy and private pool. Only gripe were the drinks. No one seemed to make the drinks consistently and they weren’t what was order. Will come back.
Pretty good !
The resort appears to be suffering from a shortage of staff just like everywhere else in the world currently. We did have a few small issues the first day such as poor service at the Whitesands buffet for breakfast and the room key servers being down the first days so you needed an escort to get into your room. The remainder of the visit was amazing as always. The Italian, Brazillion, and Steak House were very good! The buffets were as most buffets are, good selection of food, the fresh fruit is amazing, & the egg station was on point for omelets. The wind blew almost everyday making it very difficult for the staff to keep up with the sargassum on the beach. They did a pretty good job given the amount they had to deal with. The bartenders at the Kantenah end of the beach done an exceptional job, The beach eatery was excellent as well for a quick bite to eat on the beach. All in all we had a great time at the resort, there was five couples in our group. We always stay in the Romance Villa's on the Kantenah side of the resort due to the beach access and views. We are truly saddened that they are remodeling this area removing the Romance villas on the beach. I know there are a few on this page, who have a complete come apart if you mention anything negative about the Palladium but I feel it is important to be honest in your reviews so people know what to expect. Those few bad members who attack those expressing their experience should be ignored! After being at this resort many times I would still recommend it to those considering it!
A wonderful stay!!
Very stylish, clean and nicely situated hotel. The staff are lovely and the food is amazing! Didn't bother trying the a la carte restaurants as we were happy with the buffet restaurants, they already have everything and always had different foods to try! Seeing the local wildlife wondering around is just amazing! Coatís, Agoutis, iguanas and different species of birds just chilling on the premises really adds a nice touch, and they keep to themselves! The pool is fantastic! Nice and roomy with plenty of places to swim, and of course there's the swim up bar! I'm not really a pool person but I honestly was really impressed. There's no loud music or endless noise like you often get at poolsides in certain hotels. Some of the beach appears to be purpose built. I think that a lot of work has been done to improve the quality of the what the location had to offer. A bit rocky in some places as you go into the sea, but with a pair of wetshoes you'll be fine! The seaweed is cleared from the beach daily. There are two beach bars (that we know of!) either side which offer a great service. Not far from Tulúm and Xel-Ha is just five minutes down the road. Plenty to do in the area! My only criticism would be that it can be a bit confusing trying to find your way around, especially to our room (we got lost a few times). Everything is signposted, however if your room is on the other side of the building there's no sign pointing in which direction you should go. Also it will tell you which blocks are in the area, but not which room numbers are included there, meaning you have to do a bit of adventuring to find it. You get used to it after a few days and I guess you get to see more of the hotel grounds while searching. Also we found the mattresses on our beds to be quite hard which gave us aches. The room was fantastic though! Would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely consider returning!
