What’s the point of flying across the world for a Caribbean beach to find it full of seaweed. Coupled with very unfriendly bar staff - every day any bar the same issue. Where in the customer training?

Avoid! Visited 3 times before but this time I will not be back!!! Gross!
Guest services and front desk clueless. Low census and we did not get our upgrade for anniversary. I have stayed at this property in 2005 during Hurricane Wilma, in 2009, and again in 2014 and received significantly better service than this recent stay. We applied for the wedding anniversary upgrade and did not receive any of it, not champagne, not room upgrade, no recognition at all. Apparently Grand Palladium is no longer owned by the Fiesta Hotel Group from Spain and quality has definitely dropped over the years. In prior years, we could eat at nearly every restaurant on the campus, this trip, we were forced to only 1 restaurant for all 3 meals for 5 days and the food was the EXACT SAME every single day, every single meal. They only have XX, not even XX Negro and it was always flat and warm. Internet was so slow even for employees registering us that it took well over 2 hours to check-in. Absolutely not the experience I had in any of my prior visits. I will definitely NOT be back to this property. Such a shame as it was very well run and maintained up to 2014. No idea why they are letting it look old and dirty.

It was the most awesome stay in which we were treated like royalty. I would recommend the resort to anyone. The staff was over the top.

Wow
What a wonderful and spacious place! I’m someone who usually likes to try somewhere new every time I travel, but this is definitely a place I would happily return to again and again. It was truly one of the best places I’ve stayed. I absolutely loved the beautiful grounds, the peaceful atmosphere, and especially the wildlife around the hotel.

This was a REALLY BAD experience from start to finish. The rooms are subpar, dirty, outdated, and in serious need of repair. Several of the buildings had unpleasant odors, and the elevators did not work properly. Unfortunately, my experience became even worse when I was injured after falling down the stairs. After my fall, I asked to speak with a manager and was told I could wait, but the manager was “busy.” I also requested to be moved to a room that did not require me to use stairs because I had just fallen and was injured. That request was denied. What is most disappointing is that, to this day, management has made no meaningful effort to address my concerns. I sent a detailed letter explaining everything that happened during my stay and essentially received a “sorry” along with the suggestion that perhaps I could receive an upgraded room on my next visit. My NEXT visit?! Why would there ever be a next time after an experience like this? I will never spend my money with this establishment again. The condition of the property was disappointing, but the lack of concern after a guest was injured was what made this experience completely unacceptable for me. PLEASE BEWARE. Do your research, read the reviews carefully, and look into the condition of the property before choosing to stay here. I sincerely wish I had.
