Don't gamble here
Tables have totally different rules than the strip. It's like you have to read the fine print. Dealer tells you you're playing the bonus then when you hit you are told you not, you had to also put money down on another spot. What a joke, will never go back to anywhere on Fremont to gamble

Would not stay here again due to the noise every evening.
Hotel was nice but noise from a concert outside every evening made it difficult to get any sleep till after 2 AM.

Absolutely love the place
Absolutely love this hotel, it's our second time staying here and loved every minute, the pool area is cool and we just love the casino and it's proximity to Fremont street, if we ever go back to Vegas I'd book without hesitation, unfortunately Vegas itself has got far too expensive for us so I don't think we will be any time soon

Most Unique Pool
Stayed 2 nights of our Spring Break trip here in a king room in the Gold Tower. When searching for hotels in Vegas, I was basically choosing based on fun pools for the kiddo. We did a few nights at The Mandalay Bay - and then a few nights here at The Golden Nugget. Everyone rates the Mandalay Bay really highly as far as their pools go - and it is neat to have more than one, but we definitely preferred the pool complex at the golden Nugget. This is absolutely the most unique pool we've ever swam in (including the infinity pool up in Niagara Falls we visited last Summer). We rented a day bed out by the pool (less than half the price it would have cost over at the Mandalay), and really enjoyed being able to lounge not far from the pool, and order lunch to us. My only complaint about that process is the lack of shade - the pool daybeds need umbrellas! We loved all the places within the hotel too - had multiple meals at their restaurants, got chocolate covered strawberries and ice cream at the chocolate store (the chocolate box?). We even had a night where my kiddo needed Benadryl and we were able to get it from one of the little convenience shops on-site. It had not been my intention to just stay at the hotel for a full day - but we loved the pool so much and everything we needed was right there, that we didn't even go explore Vegas while we were here. Our room was ok but not as nice as the rest of the hotel. We chose Gold Tower because I wanted to make sure we had a fridge (my impression is that the other tower doesn't have them at all). Room and bathroom were small compared to our stay at the Mandalay - but it was nice having a useable fridge lol. The room also felt very dark. We enjoyed the view out over the pool though - my kid thought it was nice to be able to spot our cabana bed from the room. The bed wasn't the most comfortable - but we had no noise complaints. And considering how much we loved everything else about the hotel - it worked.
