Fiesta Americana, a hotel that doesn’t even have a 3-star rating, has been in dire need of maintenance for years. It was probably a great place a decade or two ago, but it’s fallen into disrepair. The lobby, pool area, restaurants, and rooms are all outdated and in need of a major overhaul. I tried to cancel our stay and get a refund so we could go somewhere else, but unfortunately, they wouldn’t allow it. It was a very disappointing experience for our New Year’s vacation. For the money they charged, it definitely is not worth it at all.

Exceptional value for the money
Can’t say enough about the importance of getting First Club rooms where service is elvated 5x. As vegetarians, we had a great time. The staff catered to our every need! Gume, Christina, Leonidas (sp? At the Azur restaurant) and Victor were amazing. There are so many others that we can’t recall their names! The food was surprisingly good enough, and every restaurant had several vegetarian options. Worst case, thy always made something delicious for us. Language barriers were very low as well. We felt exceptionally safe, esp when they helped us get taxis. Room service was quick enough. The property was ridiculously clean, where we had to challenge ourselves to find one piece of trash on the ground. All rooms are ocean view. Beach was great, even for kids. Major bonus to have a Soriana grocery store nearby at the shopping center across the street!

Great Time At Fiesta Americana
We travelled to Puerto Vallarta for a 11 day holiday from Nov.28- Dec 8th. This was the fastest that we ever got through the airport, It only took 30 minutes max. to get off the plane and out to our transfer. This is our third time at the Fiesta Americana, but our first time doing Fiesta club. We felt it was worth the extra money, and would fo it again. Check in was fast, staff at the front desk were efficient and nice. Our room wasn't ready. but we got our wrist band and off to enjoy the resort. We enjoyed the fiesta club aduly pool, just wish they would play better music, and that it opened earlier than 10 am. even if they didn't want to start drink service until 10am. The new Monde Bar has amazing views of Puerto vallarta and a good view of the fireworks that we saw. The service could be a bit slow on some days, they did serve appetizers and had a good variety of alcohol. We went to all of the al a cartes, we enjoyed most of the food we ate. We felt that it would of been nice to at least have a buffet for supper a few days a week. The staff at this resort are amzing, they all were good but there were a few that really made our trip special. The 2 ladies that served us on the island of the Italian restaurant, (can't remember there names) Rafeal & Nacho at the adult pool area Gume & Armando at the veranda We had a great holiday and will definitely plan to return.

One of my favorite resorts!
For starters we upgraded to Club Fiesta. You have access to Sonne pool. Quiet. No kids. Natcho and Raphael are amazing waiters. Super friendly and attentive. Food very good and quality drinks. The lounge above La Cevericie is wonderful. Great view of sunset nightly. Try the shrimp tacos at La Cevericie. So good. Lots of other good seafood there as well. Favorite specialty restaurant was Rosato. Lots of variety. TianTang very good as well although the first night we found it extremely disorganized. Missing dishes and or wrong orders. Next visit was better. Everything tasty. Mexican restaurant was okay. As we had upgraded we were able to have 2 special dinners. We only attended one, not overly impressed. We cancelled the 2nd one and went to Rosato instead. Beds cozy, showers could use an upgrade. Just old shower heads but the rest was fine. Biggest complaint we had was loud music in lounge. They actually had a DJ at 5:30. I think there were complaints because the music was quieter. After a few days but it got louder again and we asked them to turn it down. Few complaints for a really great resort. We will return again!
