FANTASTIC family vacation at the Embassy Suites in San Juan
We REALLY enjoyed our stay at this hotel. All of the staff were incredibly friendly. We were a party of 7 and took 3 rooms. Even before we checked in the front desk staff had the rooms saved so they were very close to each other which was wonderful and such good management. Our rooms, while they were not fancy, were very functional and spacious. The AC was icy cold just the way I like it. The breakfast and happy hour were great. They handled a huge amount of people well as they had plenty of help and plenty of food and drink. We had lunch at the hotel restaurant and it was fairly priced and tasty. I would highly recommend this hotel.. it's well run and a great place to stay in San Juan.
Maribel from front desk and Jose Reyes the doorman were absolutely incredible. They provided excellent service and Hilton should definitely try and find more employees like them. They were attentive, kind, respectful, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The hotel was very clean and nicely decorated. I would stay her again and would definitely recommend this to my family and friends.
Good trip but disappointing digs.
Staff is super friendly and helpful. Pool is gorgeous and atrium was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Breakfast is amazing! Easy walk to the beach although the section allocated for this hotel is very small and cramped. Food is average and overpriced. Unfortunately our room wasn't ready until 4:45 and I had to ask twice. After all day travel with these prices that is not acceptable. Additionally, the pull out sofa was not usable - basically sunken bars with an extremely thin pad over it. Kitchenette is tiny - just a miniature fridge and microwave. Rooms are drab and need updating. Would not stay here again.
Excellent 10/10 Recommend
1 word - Paradise! well since i need 200 characters I will also say the food was amazing, the pool was perfect, and the casino was decent! Loved every minute of my stay at the Embassy Suites. I will definitely be booking there again on my next trip to PR.
There are other choices in the neighborhood.
This hotel stay was for pleasure and to get away from the cold in the US. After a long day of travel, our Uber from the airport took us to the hotel. We had about 5 total pieces of luggage, car seat, stroller, and bags. There was no dedicated porter / bellhop at the lobby, drop off or check in to assit in bringing you into the hotel. Rooms are cleaned every other day. One of the days was missed. We really just needed towels., but this is a fact for many hotels now. Breakfast buffet is below average. Omelet station. Few hot items, but was all Sysco or US Foods prep items. Limited fresh fruit. Cold items such as cereal, yogurt, etc. The omlette station guy actually refused to make me 2 scrambled fresh eggs, saying i could get them from the Buffett. I said i wanted fresh eggs, cracked. He showed me the container box with the 'liquid eggs' saying it was fresh. I was pretty let down. Evening drinks are nice where they give you free drink tickets was pleasant. Do yourself a favor. Ask not to be adjacent to the highway or airport. It is loud 24 hours a day. There are plenty of other hotels in this area. I would not stay here again. This hotel could improve by having a luggage porter / bellhop. You're on your own. I can forgive the missed room, but the fact that they're only coming every other day was a little disappointing. Finally, the breakfast bar could use some better quality food. Pool area was nice. Snacks, coffee shop were nice. Indoor restaurant was good. 2 block walk to the beach. FYI, you're suppsoed to advise the hotel desk of you going to the beach so the guy that manages the chairs can set up for you. He was miffed about us showing up with out notice or ackknowledgement.
