Terrible Experience - Do Not Recommend We recently stayed at Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort, and it was hands-down one of the most frustrating vacation experiences we’ve ever had. While the food was just okay at best, the buffet was shockingly small and subpar for a resort of this caliber. The real nightmare, however, began when trying to eat at the themed restaurants. First, there’s no reservation system. You either stand in line for hours or they give you a beeper—a standard restaurant locator device. However, even with this system, the minimum wait time to get a table is an hour and a half, and most restaurants still have plenty of empty tables. Why? Because they only staff 2-3 servers per restaurant, leading to incredibly slow service. To be fair, the hotel itself is beautiful, and the rooms are spacious and well-designed. However, our room smelled like a really old, humid attic, which was unpleasant from the moment we arrived. To make matters worse, on our first night, we had to call maintenance because one of the sinks was clogged and the AC wasn’t cooling properly. Definitely not the kind of experience you expect from a resort claiming to be luxurious. During check-in, we were offered a chance to attend a Hyatt presentation in exchange for a $300-$400 credit in Hotel cash. We decided to give it a try, only to discover that the presentation was not the 90 minutes they promised—it turned into a 3-hour ordeal filled with mid-pressure sales tactics. It felt like a bait-and-switch and completely soured the experience. Save your money and go elsewhere—this place is not worth the hassle.

My husband and I recently got married at Dreams Playa Mujeres and they by far exceeded my expectations. I specifically want to highlight my amazing wedding coordinator, Michelle Noriega. She is incredibly easy to work with and made the planning process a breeze! She is very responsive and detailed. Everything I wanted, she delivered on and more. My Pinterest board came to life and it was so nice to only work with one person instead of dealing with multiple vendors, which is exactly what I wanted for my wedding planning process. Michelle is so sweet and her calming personality is a pleasure to be around, especially during the stressful wedding planning process. If you are assigned Michelle as your coordinator, you can know that you are in great hands! Second I'd like to highlight the wonderful massage my husband and I received. We had Lucilde and Andrei for a couples Tension Relief massage and it one of the best massages I have ever had! We left the spa feeling incredibly calm and relaxed, not sore and achy. If I had the time to get a second massage with them during my vacation, I would have!

Andrea from the kids club saved the vacation!!!!
This is the 2nd time we've been to Dreams Playa Mujeres and we'll be back again! Niece had hair done on island and they pulled out in the pool. Andrea saved the day!!!! The service is amazing! The food is incredible!!!! Going back to Maris 2nd night in a row. Recommend this resort all the time! Beautiful resort and amazing people!

Horrible food, but beautiful resort
The resort is beautiful. Pools and beaches were amazing. The Food was horrible. Food lacked flavor and they were constantly running out of the more "expensive" items. Pasta was red water and noodles by the end of the night. Only decent meal was breakfast. Would love an option to order food from outside restaurants but would defeat the purpose of "all inclusive".

Fun for families!
The hotel is beautiful. We had a preferred club room, which was great. Alberto was our preferred concierge, and he was amazing. He helped us with reservations and getting great spots on the beach and at the pools! The rooms and some areas of the hotel were a little dated, but my family didn't mind. The food was alright. Not amazing, and my kids had some trouble finding options they liked. They loved unlimited trips to the ice cream shop. My kids also really enjoyed the kids club.
