Beautiful stay Dreams Macao Beach
This is a beautiful property with a large and soft sand beach. Must advise that although this is a resort catered to young families, we would not recommend children swimming in the ocean as the current is very strong. In terms of amenities, this resort has it all: great food, excellent service and top notch accommodations. Special mention must be made to the staff as they are always available to help at all hours of the day. Our butler Jansel was amazing and always immediately responsive. The bellhop Jacques was especially helpful too. Jimmy the concierge went above and beyond for us. Elias and J.J were very attentive also. In the preferred lounge bar, Ana, Yulia and Katherine were the best bartenders ever. At the other bars, Maria deserves a mention as well as the hibachi chefs and the resort cats who kept the critters at bay and were very cute. The only gripes we had with the resort were the amount of people constantly try to sell add-ons; However, I can understand this as it is how they make commissions and a living. As long as you are polite and firm in your answers they will not resist. As we were travelling as a couple, I wouldn’t recommend this resort to anyone who does not have kids as it can get quite loud at times and very crowded. We will be coming back to Punta Cana but will be trying an adults only resort next time. We decided to upgrade to the VIP preferred package and we highly recommend it to anyone who is staying at the resort. Well worth the price. A final big thank you to everyone at the resort from Alex and Kayleigh (1123).

50th Birthday at Dreams Macao Beach
First things first this is an amazing FAMILY resort. Lots to do for children. We traveled here to celebrate our 50th birthdays. The resort is beautiful the beaches clean the surf was a bit rough but it was due to the time of year. We did upgrade to preferred. They did not have a preferred room available at the time of our arrival. We were assigned a butler “Luis “ he was amazing he made sure our stay was trouble free . Anything we needed he was there to help. He even decorated our room . Had a cake and champagne there for us to enjoy. He made it easy to keep in touch with he what’s up app . He would find us at least once a day to make sure we were excellent!! And didn’t need anything. I can’t say enough about his hospitality at the resort. I hope he gets a raise or a promotion. The bartenders Maria and Denise at the sugar reef were so friendly and welcoming. Tony was the bartender at rendezvous. He was super with our drink orders as well . We loved the Oceana restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The French restaurant had really good lamb chops. Unfortunately the swim up bar was in the general pool so I didn’t get to try it . The pools are not heated but they are good once you get in . The lazy river was great floating the care’s away the food truck was good for lunch snacks. getting pool or beach towels seemed to be an impossible feat. But it seems this is not uncommon for any resort. The bell hop Carlos aka fresh prince was early and waiting to help with our bags . Also I would like to mention Joel and Jenfry they were great with the tour and information of the Hyatt program. The coco cafe was a daily stop . I don’t know if they have dairy free options for ice cream? And Victoria at the preferred club bar was always welcoming she is amazing please tell her we thank so the snacks there were great . they have vendors that come in to sell items for souvenir and cigars type items after the first evening we would walk far out of the way to avoid them. They were a bit pushy with their sell’s pitch. The preferred beach area isn’t close to the water..please remember this is a 500 room resort . Food was decent the staff pleasant. The hut market on the beach which is set up on the resort side of the beach beware. I would suggest buying your souvenirs. In the resort gift shops or the airport on your way home. There are up changes for the arcade, spa, and advertised dinners . Pools close at 6pm and the beach is closed at 7pm. It’s definitely more of a Family resort than a couples getaway. But it was a memorable experience.

Great service, beautiful resort!
Loved all the amenities at Dreams Macao Beach, totally worth the upgrade to Preferred . Our room butler Johan took great care of us and we even had a pillow menu! Carlos 'fresh prince' bellhop was super helpful as we were leaving ... though why leave when you can just stay on the lazy river with drink delivery? Can't wait to go back
