We had a wonderful time thanks to the staff.
The staff from house keeping, front desk, concierge, and every person in the restaurants were just fantastic. I'm bad with names, but everyone makes you feel welcomed. We will be going back again. To the employees there thank you you made experience wonderful.
Decent place...Great staff
My wife and I stayed at the dreams jade resort in puerto moralos mexico for 10 days. We had a room that faced the rear of the property. The room was a good size and the bathroom was very nice as well. We have been to a number of other resorts and we found this one has bigger rooms than we have had in this area. The rooms are clean but may require some updating. our view was of a swampy area with no real view and a bad smell which makes you not want go sit on the balcony The property was not our favourite but it was well maintained and looks beautiful The beach was long but very rocky.. and not very swimable between rocks and the big waves The food was good overall. The restaurants that were open for dinner served good food. Just know that not all restaurants were always open so some nights we had to wait an hour to get a table for dinner I dont feel we had a bad meal however the buffet food was often not hot enough. Ask Antonio to make you a fresh omlette.. The pools were a good size and well maintained. They were kept at 82 degrees The shops are decent and quite well equipped...just know you are paying big money for anything you need the bars are good and the bartenders work hard to make you happy Pros... The staff here are absolutely amazing. The nicest staff we have ever met and we have been a lot of places. who ever is in charge has done a great job of hiring the best people..... Geyler in the buffet restsurant and jose pereya in tamarindo were the best servers we met....but all of the rest were very good as well niger from vip services was always super helpful as well The entertainment staff try hard to keep everyone entertained. Christian is hands down the best of that group. the bands they have play around the pools and bar area were very good however the nightly entertainment in the theater was at best very weak. Cons.. As soon as you walk in the door they start trying to sell you on the privelidge package. They offer you cupons but they are of no great value as you can only use a limited amount per massage etc. We hate being harassed about buying into their clubs etc and to have that happen the very second you are in lobby is far too much. we were not allowed into our room until after 3 pm which is hard given that we got there before noon they allow dogs...and unfortunately one was in the room next to us.. It barked for hours. And the other dog pee,d on the wedding arch. also the coati which are mexican raccoons came up onto our 4th floor and make a huge amount of noise while they tried to eat of off the plates that had been left outide the rooms overnight.
Worth the stay
That resort was extremely clean, Had a lot of staff all very friendly, Lots of food choices of good quality. We had the preferred package and very much enjoyed the preferred lounge And pool area. Many restaurant choices which we enjoyed all of them. A lot of effort went into keeping the beach clean which was a lot of work due to the seaweed. The beach is fairly narrow And the water very rocky except in a couple designated places. I was very worried about the drinking water quality prior to my trip but none of us had any issues in that regard. The only thing I didn't like is that the main Outdoor lounge area had an enormous TV that played sports all day and all night even when there was other live entertainment playing.
Truly a five star experience
This resort was much better than I anticipated (57th time in Mexico), here are my comments by category: Pool - very good, it is heated so a very comfortable temperature. The activities team played fun games at 3 each day but it wasn't annoying it was truly Fun! The birds are very annoying, I would like to see the resort deal with this similar to what I have seen at other resorts, trained hawk or something. Beach - I would say average, only because there are large rocks that you can't see while swimming, if they could remove some of these it would be excellent. Next door is Marina El Cid which is kind of cool since they have swimming with the dolphins. Food - outstanding, was surprised at how good the food was, alacarte restaurants were superb, I would say the quality of food separates this resort from others in this price range. Drinks - very good, most in our group of 60 raved about how good the drinks were, also canned beer was available throughout the resort. Rooms - Very good with comfortable beds and great maid service. Doors slamming is a problem, would like to see the resort resolve this issue. Employees - outstanding, they seem happy and it shows. Service was outstanding in bars and restaurants. Grounds - beautiful and well kept, resort is not overwhelming which makes it seem very comfortable. In general our experience was nearly perfect, the hotel was working on several projects to improve the hotel experience, so a slight inconvenience but understandable. Rarely do I return to the same hotel but I will return to this hotel.
There was a group of 70 of us that went down for a wedding and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent from the restaurants to the buffets. The drinks and the service around the pools were great. Big shoutout to the Entertainment crew Saul, Cristian, Gabriel, Amara and the rest of the team. All day they had games going from Zumba, beach volleyball, pool volleyball, soccer, water polo, and some type of crazy game that kept the guests entertained. For lunch the only place to eat if you don't want to put on a T-shirt (no tank tops) and go to the buffet, is a hut that serves burgers, fries and nachos. It would be nice to have another outside option (Taco stand, or just more variety at the outside grill) but I believe that might be getting built currently as they were tearing down the roof of what looked like another restaurant by the pool. The only negative about this resort is the beach. It is incredibly rocky and without water shoes very difficult to get out in the ocean. They also didn't have many chairs down on the beach. So if you are a beach person, this may not be the best resort for you. Also, you will have to get up fairly early as a lot of chairs are reserved before 8:30.
