Nice location, but not one of the better Secrets.
The beach and weather were both beautiful during our stay. The place is a huge maze, which is hard to get around (multiple elevators to get to places that should be easy and long walks, which makes it very difficult if you have mobility issues). The pools are shallow and very warm. The booze and beer is lower grade unless you're a Preferred guest and pay extra. We stayed on the Secrets side, which is adults only, but many of the restaurants--which are generally mediocre--are on the Dreams side, which is easily accessed. We enjoyed our stay, but compared to other Secrets Resorts we've stayed at, this one is not quite up to snuff. It's a bit worn and shabby in places, though they seem to be busy renovating.

5 star cleanliness with wonderful views
Phenomenal resort with endless amenities. A variety of food options for all individuals. One of the cleanest places I have been to. Staff truly cares about the visitor's experience. One downside is that if you have difficulty walking, this isn't the place for you. Lots of elevators or lots of steps to get places I walked legitamately miles each day between my room, the beach, the restaurants and meeting up with everyone we traveled with. Easy for me, but not easy for all. However, I plan to go back and experience the resort again with my wife this time, who had to stay home. We plan to stay on the Secrets side to take advantage of the variety of restaurant options and other adult-only bars.

Fun New Years for Family and Friends
We were a group of eight, family and friends, ages 16 through 62. We went to the resort to enjoy New Year’s Eve and get away from winter! The resort and rooms (preferred club, Jr. suites) were very nice. High points included spa massages (great), New Years Eve Party (AWESOME, worth the extra fee for a table for about $100 per person) and our server, Omar, helped make our night great!, Zipline/ropes course ON-PROPERTY (that was well worth $55 per person) and Brisa & Alejandro were perfect helping us thru the course. Low points were the Asian restaurant made our group of 8 wait 90 minutes for a table…BUT never told us until AFTER the 90 minutes that they won’t seat a party of that size together, so we ate separately. Benefits of club level were access to club pool on 8th floor with great food, drinks, service AND access to preferred lounge where we had the best bartender, Ismail, who was fun and went above and beyond expectations, creating amazing drinks and a perfect atmosphere!

Felt Like a High-End Resort at an All-Inclusive Price
Felt Like a High-End Resort at an All-Inclusive Price. We were honestly surprised by some of the negative reviews because this was one of the best all-inclusive resorts we’ve stayed at—especially for the price. Overall, it truly felt like a luxury resort. The service was exceptional. Everyone spoke English extremely well, and every request—housekeeping, maintenance, bell service—was handled quickly. The pool and beach staff were just as attentive, and the level of service felt like what you’d expect at a much higher-priced resort. We were also impressed by the spacious hotel rooms. We had plenty of space, and the sofa bed easily converted into a bed so everyone could have their own sleeping area, which made a big difference for our family. The convenience here stood out: towels were available everywhere (no towel cards), and despite visiting during one of the busiest weeks of the year (early January), there were always lounge chairs available at the pool and beach—no early-morning chair saving. Having waitstaff at both the pool and beach was another highlight—you never had to leave your chair for drinks. Our kids loved the property, especially the waterpark, which felt like its own mini resort with multiple pools, restaurants, and a fun atmosphere. While the beach isn’t white sand, we absolutely loved the tide pools. Exploring them at low tide was the highlight of our trip—our kids found starfish, crabs, sea urchins, and even moray eels. The food was very good for an all-inclusive, with the Italian restaurant being a standout (the duck ravioli and sea bass were excellent). Overall, this resort exceeded our expectations and we would happily return.
