Visit to Pixar Place
I've been staying at this hotel since it was the Pan Pacific! The elevators are always slow. Now that it's been renovated, here are my thoughts - it is definitely kid friendly. The rooms were updated in a very cute way, but I am disappointed to see that the tubs were removed. Also, My room had a connecting room and the family next door was loud. I could hear everything! I stayed at the Pool Level Club. It's great to be able to go right to the pool from my room. I was surprised that I had to check in and get a wrist band just to sit in the hot tub. The moved the Bell desk so there's now a really nice sitting area in the lobby by the Sketch Pad. The elevators have a new "call" method, but doesn't really seem to speed up the elevators. I mean there's really only so much they can do. Two places were a disappointment to me. First, and I'm not sure if it's a change to all hotel club levels or just this one, the room is much larger but to me the food was sporadic and not always great choices. Also, I loved getting a bottle of water to start the day in the parks, but that's no longer offered. And I'm a big milk drinker, they no longer offer 2%, you can have Whole, Almond, or Oat. I had to go and buy milk whenever I wanted to eat in the lounge. Second - everything else seemed to get smaller. The downstairs shop still has the basics, but it's almost all geared to kids now, very little for adults. The Sketch Pad grab and go, feels more limited as well. All in all, great hotel for families with small children, but I think they are charging about $150/nite too much.

Clean Hotel Cute Touches
We had zero issues with the elevator. Rooms were clean. Cast members were great. The under bed storage was a nice touch. One complaint is they did not have a room ready for us at Check-In time and it was well over an hour after arrival that we finally were put in a room. I only did get a room because my child was freezing from the pool and I needed to get him warmed up. Then suddenly a room was ready. Unsure how long I would have had to wait otherwise. Easy walk to parks and characters in hotel were fun!

An eternity at the elevators
You’re spending the money on this hotel for one reason only, to get into the parks early. For that magical 30 minutes alone, it’s worthwhile. However, I think you’d be better served at the Disneyland Hotel. The reason, the madness of the Pixar Place elevator. I didn’t fully appreciate how bad it is until we arrived, you can find yourself waiting 10-15 minutes for one to arrive. No stairs either, it’s insanity. I can’t believe Disney hasn’t fixed this issue. Others have written about it but man is it bad!! You almost don’t want to ever leave your room for fear of the eternal elevator wait. The hotel is clean and nicely themed. Disappointed that the outdoor dining by the pool was closed when we visited, as was the play structure. Overall just ok.

Horrible Mattresses
Just got back from spending two nights here 2/23-2/24. Service was suberb I am old fashioned and checked in the front desk and the ladies there were so friendly and made us feel welcomed mind you this was around 1 am when we arrived and they were so cheerful and understanding. The hotel itself is beautiful so much art and feels nice. Our family loves Elemental and the art they have is wonderful and we got to see Bing Bong. Rooms and Sleeping The rooms are beautiful I recommend the 9 and up floors for the best views. Keeping in mind the elevators are the worst be patient and plan at least 30 mins of navigating them. BEWARE! The beds are so uncomfortable. My husband and me are on the heavier side and the beds were terrible. SO BAD that my husband threw his back out and almost ruined our time there. We are used to sleeping on our Tempur-Pedic mattress so maybe the spring box mattresses won’t do it for us. Just want to let you know cause as you get older the mattress seems important to get a good nights rest. So if you prefer a more luxurious bedding this is not the place for you. Hope this review saves someone from a terrible stay cause of the mattress.

Don’t stay - elevators don’t work and you can’t take the stairs.
Do not stay at this Disney property! The elevators do not work - they use a call system that doesn’t work and normal operations are a nightmare but in addition two of the four elevators were out of service. You can’t take the stairs because they lock the door’s going up. This causes a giant queue and an incredible waste of time on your vacation.
