I spent the day here at the resort and I needed a towel luckily Kyla and Angie was here to assist me they was very polite and super helpful every question I had they answered for me, Excellent staff they made me felt right at home
I had an amazing experience at the hotel! Clean room. Great experience doing different stuff. Really enjoyed my interaction with Kyla & Angie. Really awesome and kind ladies. They really made the experience better for me. Amazing people.
Plan for grub hub. Very limited food options.
Very disappointed. Have stayed here many times but this time only the pool bar has any food and very limited. Not walking distance to any restaurants so plan your grub hub. Don’t come here if you want to eat. Even the canteen shop had very limited food options.
Joe the Concierge is incredible!
Joe the Concierge was the bright spot in this stay! He began researching restaurants a week before I arrived. He continued to stay in touch throughout my stay, and ensure a positive experience. Joe is truly the ultimate professional! Beyond that I was not impressed with the hotel overall. Upon my arrival, despite reservation notes in multiple calls, it took me three hours and 3 requests to get the feathers out of my room, due to asthma. The first night of my stay, there was no hot water, the sink was clogged and the cable went out for 24 hours. There are no restaurants open other than the coffee shop and the store to eat Sunday through Tuesday. Thank goodness for Joe!
Expectations not met
The pros: Soft sandy beach great for long walks, easy check in and out, very nice rooms, tons of restaurants a car ride or DoorDash away, great kids' water area, nice warm water in the outdoor pool, and cribs available for babies. The cons: not enough pool or beach chairs for guests, people stealing seats if you get up to go to the bathroom, no food walking distance to hotel and very overpriced food at the hotel, food took over an hour to be available so we could feed the children while we stayed outside at the pool, mis- information was given to us in 2 separate calls about rooms/suites having full sized fridges when we called in the months before our trip just to reconfirm all of our arrangements. Pertaining to our suite, there was no AC in the bedroom portion, and we were very hot all night. The maintenance person indicated that they knew it was broken, but it had not been fixed and couldn’t be fixed while we were there. While the beach was lovely, our expectations were not met. We traveled as a group of 9, grandparents, adult kids, and grandchildren, so we called numerous times to ensure that our suite would have a full size fridge because the youngest grandchild has food allergies and can only drink special refrigerated baby formula. When we arrived at our suite, we had the same mini fridge as all the other rooms. The beach/pool chair situation was a mess, made even worse when the Clemson football team and guests all stayed there for the Orange Bowl. We would wake up early, get down to the pool at 6:45 am and reserve 3 or 4 chairs for our family of 9. We made certain to leave books, bags, shoes, etc. on the chairs, and we only left our chairs long enough to use a bathroom, swim or get food (which took an hour). This rudeness occurred daily. When we would politely approach the individuals who then claimed our few chairs as their own, they claimed that the hotel policy was that any chair that was unoccupied for more than 1 hour could be taken according to the hotel policy. We were never told of such a policy, and sadly there was never anyone from the hotel walking around so we could discuss this challenging and frustrating situation with them. Even after Clemson left the hotel, we STILL experienced this issue.
