  Everything was awesome. Komorebi restaurant was delicious! Raymundo put on a great performance alondra and rey were great as well!

  Wonderful Resort, Amazing Staff, Happy Kids!

  What a wonderful family getaway! Delta Hotels Riviera Nayarit gave us exactly what we were hoping for: a relaxing, fun, and memorable vacation with plenty for both the kids and adults to enjoy. We traveled with my brother’s family and stayed in the villa rooms. The hotel accommodated our request to have our villas next to each other, which made it so much easier for our families to spend time together. The resort is beautiful and very family-friendly. The swimming pools were great, and the lazy river was a huge hit with the kids. They loved the activities throughout the day, especially bracelet making, karaoke, trivia, and the evening entertainment. One of our favorite experiences was the Teppanyaki dinner. It was as much entertainment as it was dinner, and the chef made it a really fun experience for the whole family. The little conveniences made a difference too. Towel service was easy, and a big shout-out to the buggy drivers who were always friendly and made getting around the property effortless. We also loved the shuttle service to the beach club, where we enjoyed the beach, food, drinks, and great service at the beach bar. Most of all, the staff made our stay memorable. A special shout-out to the front office team, Omar, Jose, and so many others whose names I unfortunately don’t remember. Whether it was at the restaurants, bars, pool, beach, housekeeping, entertainment, or simply getting a ride around the resort, we were always greeted with a smile and made to feel welcome. The kids had a fantastic time, which made it a great vacation for the adults too. We’re leaving with wonderful family memories and would happily return. Thank you to the entire Delta team for a fantastic stay!

  You must visit this place!

  Absolutely paradise! The staff, the place, the food and drinks. Everything was amazing! More than recommended! Komorebi Tepanyaki is a must, Rey, Viviana, Wendy and Yubilet are spectacular people, their service was top notch. Cant wait to visit again.

  Disappointed

  Currently here. We have several days to go. The grounds are beautiful. Unfortunately, the front staff do not do enough to ensure comfort. We returned from a day in the sun approx. 5 pm to find our room had not been cleaned and no fresh towels to bathe. Called front desk and the gentleman advised me that they gave until 7:00 pm to have room cleaned! I asked for fresh towels at yhe very least...was told they would be sent...never got there. Cleaning lady knocks at tge door at 6:30. This is so inconvenient. Interestingly, someone did go into our room while we were out and took the tip we left behind...but did not tend to the room At Huichol buffet for breakfast, we were repeatedly ignored by 2 young men, Raul and Diego. No offer of coffee or juice or even picking up our dirty dishes...very disappointing. Hopefully, it will get better

  Beautiful Location, Very Local Experience

  Location ⭐⭐⭐⭐ About 30 minutes from Puerto Vallarta Airport and roughly an hour from Old Town. Punta Mita, Sayulita, San Pancho, and other local spots are about 30 minutes away, so the location is actually quite convenient for exploring the area. Unlike most hotels in Puerto Vallarta, this property sits in the mountains overlooking the ocean. Beautiful concept—but getting to the hotel’s private beach requires reserving the hotel shuttle, and the ride takes about 10 minutes. Atmosphere ⭐⭐ This is very much a local Mexican hotel. During our stay, we saw very few international guests, and Spanish was definitely the main language. If you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful mountain retreat, this probably isn’t it. Outside of the villas, soundproofing is poor, and you can hear conversations, TVs, and pretty much everything happening next door. If your neighbor likes to party, you may be joining the party until 1 a.m. whether you want to or not. Room ⭐ The rooms are seriously outdated and, frankly, felt closer to a 2-star hotel than a Marriott property. The walls and floors are worn, the sofa had visible stains, and the sheets—even after daily housekeeping—were stained and looked very tired. The towels were so old they were barely holding onto their original white color. I requested allergy-friendly bedding and was given two thin blankets, the kind you normally get as extra bedding at a basic hotel, placed between sheets and used instead of a comforter. The sink stopper was broken. The bathtub stopper didn’t work properly either, so every time we took a bath, I had to pull the stopper out by hand to drain the water. And, naturally, the AC decided to stop working on our last day. Perfect timing. We stayed seven nights and eventually gave up complaining because nothing really changed. If you stay in the Main Tower, bring earplugs. Seriously. You can hear even quiet conversations from the room next door. Value ⭐⭐ We stayed using a Marriott Free Night Award, so we didn’t pay the room rate out of pocket. Had we paid full price, I would have been extremely frustrated. Guests are given plastic wristbands that you have to wear throughout your stay. They’re uncomfortable enough to feel like a tiny vacation handcuff, and they can actually scratch your skin when you shower. The Marriott-member wristbands and local-guest wristbands were different colors, and based on what we saw, the vast majority of guests were local. I’ve seen reviews calling this hotel “affordable,” but I’m not sure I agree. And please don’t think of this as a traditional all-inclusive resort. The food selection is repetitive, with the exception of the teppanyaki restaurant. Even basic fruits like strawberries and blueberries were nowhere to be found. Considering the food quality, I personally wouldn’t consider $200+ per night a good value. Service ⭐ English is not widely spoken among the staff, so Google Translate became our best friend. Unfortunately, friendliness and service were also inconsistent. I contacted the concierge before our trip and never received a response. I also asked about currency exchange and was basically told they didn’t have enough money to do it. There is no hotel airport shuttle—you’re told to take an Uber. The whole operation seems much more optimized for local guests than international travelers. If you stay outside the Main Tower, getting around can also be surprisingly inefficient. You take a golf cart to the main lobby, then get another golf cart to reach other restaurants or pools. Whether the problem is a shortage of carts or the way the system is designed, I’m not sure, but it felt unnecessarily complicated. Kids Club ⭐ We only looked at it once and didn’t use it. For Americans, think 24 Hour Fitness or YMCA childcare, rather than a resort kids club. There were very few activities, and I was especially surprised that the hotel didn’t take advantage of its mountain/forest setting with nature-based activities for kids. Overall, it felt more like a locally operated resort than a Marriott-managed family resort. Restaurants ⭐⭐ We had breakfast and lunch at the Main Tower buffet/bar and went out for dinner most nights. We tried the teppanyaki on our first night, and it was honestly disappointing. If you’re expecting Benihana, lower your expectations—way lower. Most of the meat was so tough we couldn’t eat it, and the shrimp was about the only thing we enjoyed. Even the teppanyaki show was underwhelming, especially if you’re coming from California. And yes… I never thought I’d say this, but we had bad tacos in Mexico. Overall ⭐⭐ We chose this hotel because we wanted a relaxing trip and liked the idea of staying in a hotel surrounded by nature. Since we had a Free Night Award, it seemed worth trying. If you’re from the U.S., imagine something closer to the food and overall experience of a Marriott SpringHill Suites or Element—not a luxury all-inclusive resort. If you’ve stayed at true all-inclusive resorts before, you may be surprised. If you mainly want a place to stay while exploring nearby towns and beaches—and you approach it more like a local Mexican getaway or Airbnb-style experience—you may enjoy it. If you’re looking for a polished Marriott resort experience, however, adjust your expectations accordingly. One last thing: don’t lose your wristband or room key. There’s a charge if you don’t return them. If management happens to read this, my biggest recommendation would be a serious room renovation and comprehensive staff training. The property has a beautiful concept and a great location, but the execution needs quite a bit of work. Uber Experience 🚗 Since we went out for dinner almost every night, we ended up taking Uber quite a bit—and that was an experience in itself. If the app says a Nissan Sentra is coming, don’t get too attached to that idea. A completely different car may show up, and when we asked about it, we were told the Nissan Sentra was “at the body shop.” Also, don’t assume that paying more for a nicer Uber means you’ll get a clean, newer car. It’s basically a game of chance. You might get a perfectly fine car, or you might get… something else. That seems to be how Uber works locally in Mexico. We got used to it eventually, but it definitely added a little adventure to every dinner outing.
