    Excellent Stay!!

Excellent Hotel!! 🏨 My boyfriend and I stayed here March 2nd-4th. We arrived around 315 and our room was not ready yet which is fine. At booking my boyfriend, got a queen size room with a king size bed 🛌 but I guess it wasn’t available so we got a room with two queen size beds 🛌 which was fine with us. It also had a balcony! Anyways our room wasn’t quite ready so we waited in the nice lobby area until it was ready. They said they had to inspect it, and then finally it was ready. They gave us the key to what we thought was our room on the fourth floor. We got to the room that we thought was ours and we noticed they were cleaning the room, which was odd, since they said it was ready. The maid pointed to the room across the hall but she really didn’t understand English. So we went back down to the front desk and it turns out they had given us the wrong room. Finally we got to our room which was 429. It had two queen size beds, and a balcony and a nice bathroom! The room was super clean, but we decided to Lysol everything anyway. You could even connect to Netflix on the TV. There was no bugs whatsoever. Breakfast buffet wasn’t free but it was so delicious! The beds were nice and comfortable and so were the pillows! Everyone who worked there, who we encountered were so nice. The following day after coming back from Animal Kingdom, we realized they did not clean the room. I called the front desk and they said they would have someone from housekeeping come up right away! Within minutes, somebody was knocking our door, and they said they will clean our room as soon as we left for dinner. This hotel is within walking distance of shopping and restaurants! The first night we ate at Twin peaks, but we drove not knowing how close it was. The next night we ate at Luxe across the street that used to be black Angus steakhouse. I highly recommend this hotel!

    They now charge for parking.

Great hotel except they charge $20 for parking now. Sad it is not clearer on the website. I would have given it 5 stars except for the parking. October there was no charge for parking. Now the value is only ok. Clean and safe hotel though. Gggggggggggggg

Worst bed I’ve ever tried to sleep in!

This is unlike the other Delta hotels out there. It’s a retrofit of an older property but the rooms are still outdated. It wasn’t what I expected being a Marriott property. I imagine this is reflected in the property’s lower price. The beds were absolutely horrific! Very very hard and pillows offered no support. We were only there for 7 hours to sleep before an early flight and needless to say with the terrible beds absolutely no sleep was had. I wish I had slept in the car. The rest of the room was fine. Pool area looked nice, it was quiet, and the hotel smelled good. If you can handle very hard beds, the price is great for the location. Beware the nightly parking charge of $20!

Great location with poor service and amenities.

Upon check in, the person who checked me in had very little familiarity with how Marriott rewards works. She told me I would not be charged for parking and yet I was charged and had to take time to fix the folio. The pantry for Platinum members was not at all stocked. Most items were empty, including an empty freezer and refrigerator. The coffee machine was very nice except the coffee brewed at room temperature and there was no sugar to be found anywhere. The room itself was adequate and the location is terrific. It definitely is not up to Marriott standards though.

Not the best experience for us, maybe next time will be different.

Not the best experience for us, maybe next time will be different. One of the two elevators was not working, so imagine the delays when 1 elevator is servicing 7 floors. No room service or even a menu for the restaurant downstairs. Despite asking for a quiet room upon check in, we were assigned room 418 right by the elevator and with the broken elevator needless to say how loud the people waiting were. The hotel price is reasonable, the rooms have no microwave nor mini bar. Kudos to housekeeping because no matter where you looked EVERYTHIG was clean.
