Could be lovely
Sorry guys, I really wanted to love these gorgeous looking beach huts and location of the hotel but I can't give any more than 2*. The place is generally very tired, had to move huts as no hot water in the first one. (seemed a common fault) Most of the staff are helpful however some front of house are just rude. The gardeners, beach lads are all great. The biggest let down was the awful food. I cannot believe they seved us the same old veggies etc a breakfast lunch and dinner. Meat and fish full of tiny bones. We lived off the pasta station that was the only edible food. Could be so lovely but it isnt. All the cocktails and drinks tasted the same as well.

Atrocious.
All I can say is DO NOT STAY HERE. It may be cheaper than the other resorts in the area but honestly, paying less comes at a big price. I stayed here for two weeks in August and I have never had a worse resort experience in my life. A lot of the staff are extremely unfriendly and unprofessional and they don't take complaints or concerns seriously; Specifically, the head of security 'Miss Grant' and also one of the newer females managers whose name I didn't get. On day 1 housekeeping threw away my Invisalign braces whilst cleaning my room, which I noticed when I came back from the pool. When I spoke to Miss Grant about it she treated me like I'd done something wrong and like I was being a pest. It was clearly very annoying to her that I was giving her any form of work to do. I've never experienced anything like it, she really shouldn't be working with or around people. Furthermore, for the duration of the two step didn't update me on her 'investigation' and walked past me without a word. I asked for updates multiple times regarding my braces and the manager just kept saying 'oh we're looking in to it' until the last day when I went to her again and she basically said 'oh yes we haven't found them'. A complete joke! From the day I complained I knew I wouldn't be getting the back, and I started this to them- what I did want was some form of accountability and potentially some compensation. Obviously I received none. The hotel itself is very outdated, they tap literally came off the wall when I was showering on the first day of the trip. The food is very 'watered down' Jamaican food which is unfortunate as Jamaican food is generally indeed if the best cuisines in the world, in my opinion. They really didn't give a good impression of Jamaica. One of the senior staff in the a la carter restaurant upstairs was extremely rude to us when I tried to go and eat there, demanding to know why we had signed by two room numbers (which apparently means you're signing for two tables) when we only wanted one table. We explained to him that the receptionist had asked us to sign by our room numbers and hadn't explained to us that this meant sticking for two tables rather than one. I'm not even sure why he made such a big deal out of it, the restaurant was completely empty. All in all, I've never been spoken to by staff like I was at this resort, and as a paying customer you don't deserve this type of treatment. Do not stay here.

Bland food
We are here right now. Been here for a week and one week to go. If you are looking for a resort with yummy, spicy Jamaican food, I recommend that you NOT come here. Food is very bland and no variety. We hardly eat much because it’s the same food every meal. None of the staff seem happy.

Superb stay at the Decameron Club, Runaway Bay.
Fantastic stay at the Decameron Club in Runaway Bay. Superb cottages and recommended to stay in, lots of room, spotlessly clean etc. Friendly staff throughout, nothing too much trouble, entertainment team were great and worked hard, bar staff and restaurant staff also very attentive and professional. Food good, a-la-carte meals superb, beaches lovely, no issues getting sunbeds etc. Overall a fantastic experience.

Horrible customer service. Don’t waste your Jamaican vacation here.
The check in process was horrible. The front desk lost our reservation. They told us it wasn’t their problem and we had to call expedia to get it fixed. After two hours of trying to get help, asking for a manager, being lied to, they finally “found” two rooms they could give us. They started out saying they had no rooms for us. Then they said they had one room. Finally they had two cheap rooms they could give us even though we paid for the expensive rooms. We will never stay here again. Horrible customer service.
