Exceptional Staff and Service
Hotel staff were exceptional. Over the last month, I have stayed at Sofitel Sydney Sofitel Brisbane Fullerton Hotel Sydney and Stanford Melbourne. As much as these hotels all do a very good job the service at the Hilton Darwin surpassed them all.

memorable stay
Celebrated our wedding anniversary. Special compliments to Dipesh who welcomed us warmly throughout our stay. Excellent location with shops & restaurants in close proximity. On the flipside, the buffet breakfast was less impressive with limited spread. Pillows were little flat n musty.

This experience was so very good, I would recommend it to anyone wanting a first-class stay with excellent staff.
Everything about this stay was great. The room was excellently clean, bed was very comfortable, and the chairs. The atmosphere was nice and quiet with only the sound of the odd person here or there. The staff were all courteous and respectful, and attended to my requests/questions in a prompt and efficient manner. The food was delicious, whether it was room service at 9:30pm or the breakfast buffet at 7am, (very nice coffee too). Most importantly, the staff made me feel like this was my hotel :) :)

Amazing
We spent the night at the Darwin Hilton celebrating our engagement and the staff made it extra special. They delivered a beautiful bottle of wine and a personalised card which made the night one to remember. Rita in particular went above and beyond helping us celebrate at dinner with wonderful service and a complimentary dessert. Thank you so much, we will definitely be back as well as recommending to our friends and family.

Good location for Darwin
Our Travel agent booked us into this hotel for 2 nights before we went on the Ghan. At check in we were asked if we wanted to pay to upgrade to the executive floor which would give us access to the exec lounge. As we had been up early that day, were feeling a bit tired & it was very hot outside we said yes. Our room had a nice view. We just had time to sort out our luggage, freshen up & stroll along to the lounge for 5pm. A nice selection of canapes were brought out..arancini balls, prawn pastries, mini tortillas etc plus a plate of cheese & crackers. There was wine, cold drinks & I think you could also order cocktails. A few nibbles were enough for us & we then left and returned to our room where we slept solidly & caught up on much needed sleep. Breakfast next morning was fine & then we headed out for the day the lounge can be accessed during the day but all that is available is water, coffee or tea. All other soft (& alcoholic) drinks are locked away. On our second night we had booked a sunset cruise but a sudden change in the weather meant the cruise was cancelled at the last minute so unexpectedly we returned to the lounge & were able to enjoy a couple of glasses of wine & some more nibbles. In our case it was worth paying for the upgrade as we did not bother with dinner on either night. We missed breakfast the following morning as it was an early start to go on the Ghan. Although we didn't choose this hotel we thought it was a good option. It's just a short walk to the first pick up stop on the hop on bus. It was also not too far to walk to the sunset cruise Wharf.
