Continuation of previous review
This is a continuation of previous reviews. Water cane on finally at 3:58 pm. The whole day was miserable with no water. Having to keep taking the elevator down to the one toilet at the pool for 7 hours was inexcusable in addition to no showers, can’t brush your teeth, no ability to insure Covid, etc. I am appalled at the treatment of the front desk. No sympathy or care that you were inconvenienced. This department was the absolute worst!!! The housekeepers were good. Jun, at the bar, was outstanding as well as the service in Kalo Restaurant. Wish I knew I could order Kalo in the bar. There is nothing in the room eith menu info, hours, restaurant hours, where the ice machines are or any communication. The best department on this property is the valet service even though you have no choice and it’s $55/day. The really bad thing was that they said they posted notices and said it’s been up for a week on each floor. The one on the lobby was a regular business letter; not a huge font saying “WATER OFF 9-4 ON THURSDAY.” Then there was 4 hours of continuous pounding from 8 SM and when I called the front desk, their answer was, “it’s in the State of Hawaii regulations.” Are you kidding me? I am on vacation. Why would I know that? This hotel needs serious professional development. Their Sheraton counterparts/partners at least tell you where ice machines are on the door map, They let you know what rest restaurants, and hours that they’re open. I had no clue and when you ask, they are rude. The subsidiary departments are good but the noise and the lack of water for seven hours two days in a row without notification is ridiculous. All hotels I’ve been at have always slid notification under the door so everybody knows and they make sure everybody knows. These people don’t care : the people who care are the people who actually work for tips. So disappointed in Marriott and I hope Sheraton takes over Marriott and not vice versa. This is been a terrible trip and I’m supposed to come back in March but I think I need to stay away from this hotel, even though the employees are other than the front desk are great. It’s too bad.

Totally disappointing
Buyer beware …. Upon checking in they immediately want me to upgrade telling me they don’t have anything available even though I have a confirmation and reservation …. Wanting to charge hundreds of more dollars to allow me to stay. Never having been here the hotel also looks no where near as nice as online. Just minutes here and totally disappointed! I would stay anywhere but here …. And I am a Marriott Bonvoy member and that has zero benefits here.

Not the best value
We booked for Christmas at the most expensive rate, and we were disapointed in the room, the internet was spotty, our streaming TV movie kept going off, email did not come in, and we were right by the elevator which sounded like a wind tunnel all night. We booked a King Suite and there were no dishes or cutlery in the room? and the coffee maker was pretty pathetic, not even two packets of coffee. The shower was spraying all over the floor. We will check our room first before we check in and see if it is OK, we were not really pleased. The staff, front desk, bar were fantastic and the Spa Pure was the best, we had a couples massage, so glad we did. Warm greeting and freindly staff but the room was a let down.

Worst Courtyard property
I am a gold elite with over 340 nights stay in Marriott properties so I've seen my fair share of Courtyard properties. I can honestly say this is one of the worst, if not THE worst, I've ever seen while also being one of the most expensive. The facility is so old and the room is so outdated it makes a Motel 6 looks modern. The worst thing is that we found on our last night there that there were unknown fluid dripping from the restroom ceiling which was absolutely DISGUSTING!

Stay elsewhere.
My room was of very shoddy quality. It had very worn and outdated furniture. The walls are paper thin and balcony door old and dilapidated, meaning it was very joist. The room was musty and had an unpleasant smell. I also had surprise charges not included in original reservation.
