  Decent Stay with Some Room for Improvement

  We stayed in a suite at the Courtyard Marriott Lake Buena Vista for 4 nights. Our first night was a bit rough—the room had a strong mildew smell and the hard floors felt damp, almost wet. We requested a room change, and thankfully the staff was very accommodating. The new room was much better—clean, comfortable, and more enjoyable overall. The pool area was fun, especially for families, but we really wished the pool was heated, as the water was too cold at times to fully enjoy. We also ordered food from the bar one evening—it was convenient, but the food itself was just average. Overall, it was an okay stay with a few bumps, but the friendly service and convenient location made a difference.

  Great nights in courtyard

  All the fronts and workers were friendly and the hotel was an amazing place to stay nights to go Disneyland and Universal. I would come back next time. The only con is that the name of the hotel is quite complicated because there is other courtyard hotel.

  Great stay, Jose will. Make sure you enjoy your stay..

  The family and I enjoyed our stay, the kids ages 4 and 6 really enjoyed the pool. Jose at the front desk, made sure that we were well taken care of big kudos to him. We will definitely return as we live an hour away and it’s a weekend getaway for me and my granddaughters.

  See Jose at the front desk! Very friendly and hotel is clean!

  Soley five star review for Jose at the front desk! He made check in so smoothly and answered all of my questions. He was very friendly! The hotel is very clean and smells clean too! The rooms are older and the doors are horrible with the keys. They serve a good breakfast which we had trouble with but luckily Jose was at the front desk again and immediately helped. He really should be running this place. Thank you Jose for making our trip at the Courtyard enjoyable and fun! We will be back!

  Location, great. Hotel stay, not so much.

  We booked this hotel looking for a great value for the amount of amenities we THOUGHT we were getting. We were immediately disappointed when entering the room to see that the “suites” were what I am sure were regular size rooms when it was an older hotel that they turned into “suites”. This made the bedroom feel extra tight and almost claustrophobic. We were a family of three (2 adults and child) and we could barely all move around the room without being on top of each other. The only way it worked was for us to spread out to other parts of the room. We had to change rooms immediately because one of the beds had a mattress that was clearly VERY worn. It was misshaped with a HUGE permanent dent in it that looked like someone was still laying in the bed when it was empty. Our new room had hair everywhere. EVERYTIME my son got up from the couch he was covered in hair that didn’t belong to us. The couch was clearly camouflaging the uncleanliness of the room I’m sure. We discovered bugs crawling on the fridge. There was hair on the bathroom floor and in the shower. For some reason everytime housekeeping came to refresh the towels they would only give us bath towels. We never got new wash cloths. At one point they took all the dirty towels including the bath mat and left us with nothing. How does this make sense. I’m hoping that if you stay on the non suite style that things are much better over there but for now. They will never get our business again. We are frequent Orlando visitors (about once every other month) and have stayed in various properties. This one. Not worth the budget pricing. I’d much rather pay a little more, have better amenities, and less stress over cleanliness and space to spread out. We could have complained to the front desk more but every time we engaged with them they made it seem like “well you get what you paid for, so I don’t know what you want from us”. So we said why bother. If anything it made us just stay out of the hotel longer. We literally ended up only coming to the hotel to shower and sleep. Never lounging in the room because it was so uncomfortable. Which is why the location was great. There was so much to do nearby to keep us occupied. We didn’t go to any of the theme parks, but if you wanted to the location is great for that and so much more!
