    Vacation

We have been here probally like 4 or 5 times. We love the resort the staff the food. We have to put a big shout out to Gina who made our LaLuna private dinner very special. From the decorations to the service with a big smile to showing how much she loves her job and cares for her guest. Thank you Gina ( Ed and Dale) also to all staff servers workers etc. thank you for making us feel at home. God Bless

    4 out of 5

We spent 6 nights with a family of 13 on both the Splash and Harmony sides of the resort in early July. Great: - The proximity to the airport is amazing. It's about 5 minutes away and the shuttle picks you up and drops you off at no additional charge. *Send an email the day before with your flight info and you're all set. Also, ignore the guys in the red shirts who will try to convince you they are with the hotel, keep walking to the Coconut Bay kiosk. - The front desk staff was lovely and informative. All of our rooms were ready upon arrival. Shakira was wonderful. - Housekeeping/Facilities did a great job of keeping the room and grounds very clean. - The maintenance staff came right away to fix a small issue with the room lock so kudos to them. - Ritchie and the entertainment staff were amazing. We had an adult in our party with special needs who participated in every activity imaginable and he was recognized by name and made to feel like a part of the team. - Vernon taught water aerobics and was fantastic! - We arrived midweek and never felt like the pool was too crowded or that we had to wait on long lines at the bar. - The staff seem happy and at least decently compensated because you do not get the impression they are hustling for tips. This is mostly good, sometimes annoying like at the towel hut on two different occasions where the attendant seem irritated at us asking for towels. One couldn't be bothered to stop her conversation with 4 other employees and made us wait while she chatted and leisurely folded our 4 towels. Silk and Calabash were excellent and the Italian restaurant was good. The Jerk Hut for lunch was fantastic and the pool bar food also hit the spot. Very well run. Good enough - Our room on the splash side was fine. Our daughter was very happy with the trundle bed. - The bathroom is small and in need of renovation. The door makes a terrible sound when you open and close it. Could be better: - The breakfast buffet had a limited fruit section. Nothing compared to what we've typically seen in tropical all inclusive resorts. - The waffle bar had 2 waffles makers and one broke on our second day, the new one did not arrive while we were there. These things do happen but it was a very popular spot so I would have thought management would have gone out to get one rather than waiting on a delivery. The waffles were also undercooked so ask for it crispy if you don't like it doughy. - We went on an excursion (we booked it with Captain Jack off the beach, not at the hotel). It was a private tour and we were able to determine how long we spent at each stop. Jimmy was a great driver but those roads are not for the weak of stomach. The kids and I struggled on the super windy roads for over 40 minutes each way. We went to the mud baths, waterfall and sugar beach for swimming/snorkeling. The views of the Piton's were amazing and it's a very nice place to spend time. *Through no fault of their own, the beach was not usable. The seaweed was out of control (not the resorts fault, just how it is in many areas right now). I am more of a pool person so it didn't ruin my trip by any means but a few in our party would have preferred to split their time between the beach and pool so it was a bit of a bummer. All in all we all said we would return but we might wait until the renovation is complete.

    Great time!

We had a wonderful time at Coconut Bay! The food was delicious, the pools/grounds were clean and the staff was friendly! It was a very family friendly resort- our kids loved it! The rooms were clean and fine (a little outdated but we weren’t in the room much so we didn’t mind. The beds were comfortable and our kids would rather have the trundles vs sharing a bed); the AC unit worked wonderfully! The beach had a lot of seaweed but we were fully aware this is a huge problem in other parts of the Caribbean, all the way to Mexico; the staff were continuously cleaning it up. We couldn’t hear any of the loud music in our room, which was nice. We can’t wait to go back.

    Dream vacation

My husband & I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary at Coconut Bay last week. We booked a concierge suite on the Harmony side & had an amazing getaway from start to finish. Staff was exceptional from the concierge to the cleaning staff & everyone we met along the way - they all never hesitated to make sure we were happy. Our concierge ensured we had reservations at all the restaurants for the length of time we were there & even helped us book a special dinner for our anniversary at La Luna - highly recommend, worth the additional cost. The resort is a 5 minute drive from the airport, which is convenient, however it is a lengthy drive to most excursions. The resort is also somewhat dated, but they are constantly renovating & we have never seen a more clean resort. We did not see one speck of dust or one insect the entire trip. I also have never had food so delicious at any other all-inclusive resort. Even the buffet was top notch in every way! We haven't even been home a week & are already missing Coconut Bay!

    Management ruined experience

When we were checking in with the lady at reception she was lovely and welcomingbut I couldn’t remember her name, However the manager emely I found her so rude whilst the receptionist was speaking to us and giving us information, as she came over to the receptionist she turned her back to us and started whispering to lady and I’m sure whatever she had to say could wait untill the lady was finished serving us. As manager she should know better because her whole body language was giving rude plus she didn’t go to any of the other colleagues whilst other guests were checking in so it seemed that she was being weird with us and she’s never met us before. She needs some extra training because I find the way she was were very rude and then she did rude smirk at us afterwards and as manager she should know the protocol. She’s on the staff’s back about giving good service to all customers but with us she didn’t and that’s big RED FLAG I really don’t like emely she gives bad vibes! All the other members of staff are really friendly and good vibes and very helpful for advice in the hotel and island information. I am lucian myself so it’s very disappointing the way Emely came across, she’s bad for business especially as manager she shouldn’t be coming across like that to customers as we basically pay her salary and keep her in a job if it weren’t for us as in the public booking this hotel she wouldn’t have a job and I think she needs some training especially when she comes to front of reception with her stink face. I think management role has gotten to her head little bit as I’ve been here for over a week and I still find her giving me personally dirty looks for no reason as I’ve never had conversation with her even up till i left. On a more positive note.. Kaleb,Mahalia, Dre,Kevin,Dee, Claude, have been the perfect bar staff/waiters and I couldn’t ask for better service they have kept the vibes and been the most welcoming to the hotel.. There’s one lady who has stood out to us the most and her name is Zannia everyday from 10am she has been going around with her tray asking guest if they would like drink and clearing away empty cups every hour and making sure that all guest are good and comfortable and she’s the sweetest lady, anything you ask her about the hotel and her recommendations have been amazing. She is so professional and takes her job seriously to make sure all guest wherever she is in the hotel are good. Claude! He is my favourite bar man.. He’s professional and brings the vibes to the adult side and he always makes the best drinks and he has best playlist for all guest.. He has made the daytime in hotel amazing and you couldn’t ask for more and he’s full of life and energy. Dee- I love that women she is energetic and full of vibes she is always helpful she made get out of my comfort zone and blessed us with great entertainment whilst still keeping it professional. We also went and had spa day and the ladies were very helpful in answering us questions and making sure we choose the correct treatments for us that were suitable and we had so many questions and they were more than happy to help.. we thought we lost an item but we left it in the spa and they saw us at the end of day and let us know that we left it there which was really nice of them because the spa had closed and they finished their shift
