*Important Information for our guests*
The Dominican Republic imposes various restrictions each year for Easter. The restrictions usually begin the Thursday prior to Good Friday, and run a few days past Easter Sunday. The following regulations may be enforced:
*Motorized and non-motorized watersports may be banned
*Alcohol consumption may be restricted (most resorts obtain a special permit which enables them to serve alcohol to non-native persons during the ban)
*Music may be limited or silenced
These rules are designed for the safety of everyone, as beaches get extremely busy during this period.

Not what I expected
Came for a family holiday accommodation was good everything else that comes under all inclusive holidays was disappointing. Reception service was good. Cleaning and conseguir service also good. Firstly, on the arrival we soon realised that there is little air con in the common area, be in lobby, main buffet and bar buffet area. There are 4 other a la carte restaurants and air con was good only at the Steak house. Everywhere else food is melting and so are people. Birds in the buffet restaurants, staff unless generously tipped will give you little attention. Everywhere you go and do that entails support from hotel staff unless you tip them you cannot expect all inclusive service. Entertainment was somewhat not up to scratch. Staff was trying to engage guest around the pool otherwise it was hard to know what’s going on. There are permitting locals to come and sell traditional stuff but god all mighty believe me when I say they try. We were chilling after having a buffet lunch on nearby beds and it looked like a great competition between all sales people. Nobody will get passed not being offered to, complimented or dragged into what they have to sell. We were going to and back from our room and every time different person would try and make us buy something, they would not hesitate to put bracelets on my daughters hand just to make me buy it for her. Another thing is there is a wooden decking between main area and entertainment place and when rain was pouring you could easily find yours slipping on it. Unless you walk on the side grass there was no way around it. For that reason alone we didn’t take part in the evening entertainment as it was lightly raining every night. Bar staff also unless tipped weren’t really very friendly. I enjoyed ice cold coffee at the cafe near shopping mall and kids play area. It was the only place where we weren’t made feel like we need to tip or buy something and air con was up to standard. Spa We had spa treatment which was good and my daughter had French plants done twice, we were told they will last 3 days and I can confirm even without my daughter getting her hair wet in the pool, plats stayed for 3 hours the most. There were some packages listed that didn’t have aloe Vera treatments available and after choosing rejuvenate package including reflexology I didn’t get my feet massaged. My shoulders were sun burnt and lady applied some oats and wrap for that though. Communication was a bit tricky since we didn’t speak any Spanish. Just English. Pool - lovely space and plenty chairs to chill. Bar at the pool and near that area was smelling of alcohol as guest were allowed to order drinks and sip them in the pool. We stayed 7 days and only one day during our stay was there activities in the pool. We loved it. Pizza bar by the pool was constantly occupied, poor guys were trying their best to cater for all. Buffet restaurant near the pool was cooler that the main buffet restaurant by the lobby. The beach - mind you the minutes you step your foot there you will be offered stuff to buy or trips to take. One lady offered to do my daughters hair and when we kindly said no she said give me that food(we took fruits from the buffet with us), when she said that out of scariness we left the food there. Apart from that beach was save and swimming was nice, they have a staff there who constantly work on getting the seaweed out. I saw some people having a romantic meals on the beach. Also if you are enjoying a glass of something in your balcony be prepared to be bitten by something. We used mosquito repellent but it didn’t work. On our last day we were happy that check out was at 12 pm however garden maintenance staff were on the job since 8am right next to our balcony. I always left some cash for cleaning staff on the day and only once we didn’t get fresh towels but after ringing reception someone came with towels. Wi-Fi was pretty good there seems to be router in every room. It’s a big complex and families can be spread out and make feel isolated. Food in the buffet was not so good. One type of the same fish everyday, if you for ice cream by the time you sat down at your table your ice cream melted. Good variety of fruits, veg, but don’t expect chips to be nice and crispy. Seem like whatever wasn’t eaten the day before came on the next day in one form of shape or another. Which I understand because I’m all for not wasting food, but a bit more variety would be good. I remember we booked in at Spanish restaurant and it just seemed we were only offered food from buffet that was turned into Spanish theme food. Staff should pay more attention to birds in my opinion. I saw staff chatting and dancing whilst were freely tacking into watermelons 🍉 Also sometimes you would be sat there waiting for some water and it could take as long as 10 min to be served. Don’t expect having unlimited access to any drinks during your meal. You must wait for staff to attend to you. Also I noticed none of the wine bottles were ever freshly opened so that means we were all served wine from the boxed and they were definitely diluted. Shame restaurant ala carter are so disappointing. I don’t think I will stay there again.

General overview
The hotel and beach are ok but the service and level of staffing is very below level and bring the hotel to moreover a 2 star as a 4 star. We booked the love junior suite what was ok but definitely not looks as on the photos on their website, all is a bit dated and have heavenly used marks. We had 2 times problems up till now with the airco dropping water thru te sealing. We could not use the outside furniture for 3 days as they forgot tho put the covers on the cushions and the foam was really disgusting. I had to go to the reception 7 times before the did somthing! the terrace light doesn't work but I gave up on this one as after 5 times asking they still not came to repair. On the beach you have different airias depending what you pay you get a better part, only problem the guards don't care and people that normally have no access are just taking also the better cabanas what result in some very nasty conversations between guests. On the restaurants The minibar is as told on the website fully stocked and included... well don't believe that, there are only water, coke and 2 small beers included, we asked can we replace the beer with wine as we drink no beer... that was a no go and I pay every day extra for this now. Room service is only some food you can order no drinks and waiting time over an hour so order way before you need it! The main lobby bar is a disaster they serve wine in a cocktail glas, other bars are very good specialy the Curacao Restaurants Rodeo and Taverna are greateat but do not go to the Italian and definitely not to the Japanese one, staff thinks they are handling with children instead of adults and food is bad quality, defenetly not fresh. At the Italien we had cold lasagna in the middle. That was our first week at the resort. Hope the second one is a,better one! O forgot to say for all the problems and defenitly that we couldn't use our trace the first 3 days we got only a sorry no compensation at all!

Wonderful Experience
This resort was amazing. The price was good. The service was wonderful. The specialty restaurants were delicious. The pool was awesome and the beach was absolutely beautiful. I loved that it wasn’t super crowded and provided more of an intimate experience. Reynaldo and Elizabeth C at the Pure Chillout Bar provided excellent service. I would recommend this resort.
