Another Great Stay at Casa Mexicana Cozumel
I have been staying here since 2004. Just delightful experience each time over the years. I like to stay on the front of the hotel with ocean view. You can see the cruise ships come and go daily. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. This is not an all inclusive resort, but a wonderful affordable boutique hotel that allows you to experience the flavor and culture of Cozumel. The daily breakfast on the terrace are great—served from 7-11:30–so early enough to catch a dive boat, but late enough if you want to sleep in. The staff are very nice and greet you each morning with a smile and make you feel like family. The hotel is right downtown on the main drag so an easy walk to many of the great restaurants and bars and close enough to walk to the Cento to experience the local flavor. If you’re lucky enough to go during Carnivale, youve got a front row seat of the parades! Such a treat to stay here. Never disappointed!

You can’t go wrong with Casa Mexicana A++
These people are simply the best. I was in Cozumel to dive so I chose Casa Mexicana because I had heard good things about it from another scuba diver. I’m 100% happy that I did. Everything is extremely clean in the hotel, the staff are all friendly, I had zero concerns about safety/security, and the hotel management went out of its way to treat me exceptionally well after I decided to leave earlier than planned because of a weather event that prevented scuba diving on the island. If you’re going to Cozumel and want to stay somewhere safe, clean and run by good and fair human beings, definitely choose Casa Mexicana. 🙏

Hotel has a damp smell
This is an adequate no frills hotel. I did not like the fact that most of the common areas were not air conditioned. The breakfast area is a sweatbox, completely outdoors, with lots of flies. The entire hotel had a damp smell. I do not understand all the good reviews as I found this hotel in a dirtier part of the city, lots of rundown buildings and trash. Pool is very very small. I was here during off season so I can't even imagine being able to get in there during peak season. No beach here, which I was aware of, but I didn't realize how rundown the city had become. Sewage smell is also an issue. Beware, "city view" rooms are basically a view of a parking lot. All in all, would not stay here again, I would opt for a nicer hotel south of here.

I couldn’t recommend a better place. The employees care and treat you like family!
This hotel should be rated 5 stars. Location couldn’t be any better. Excellent helpful friendly staff that welcomed us like family and very comfortable rooms. We stayed in both ocean view and city view. Excellent breakfast. I’m definitely coming back here. I highly recommend this hotel. You won’t be disappointed.

Great place to stay !
We stay ocean front at this hotel. You may need to request ocean front when you book the hotel. It is right on the main road and walking distance to the main square. Breakfast is included and it is wonderful. If there is a drawback for some, the hotel looks out at the Punta Lagosta pier and there are days when your view somewhat blocked.
